FormatMessages.pm code changes

Justin, I've been working with the suggestion made by Zwerfkat: http://mojo.skazat.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=sending;action=display;nu m=1118519992 Regarding my problem with the signature ending up within the body iso below the body and sofar it's working OK, no more problems since. I haven't seen any reaction from you yet regarding his code suggestion, but I would certainly take a look, it seems to be working out OK. Alfred ...Continue Reading

RE: any and all CSS bugs, suggestions and snippets welcomed

Shane,> Basically, I'm open to any & all bug reports, suggestions,> ideas, and code snippets that you'd like to offer or propose,> however big or small they might be.I'm not sure this is an CSS issue, but can something be done about the misalignment of the fields on the main screen. If the 2 fields and the button would have the same height and be aligned vertically it would look much better in my opinion..... Re: default_css.css conflicts

July 25th 2005 UTC

OK, as per my last message to the list, there were some conflicts in the files. I basically followed the directions at: http://cvsbook.red-bean.com/cvsbook.html#Detecting%20And% 20Resolving%20Conflicts The "conflict markers" didn't really give me anything sensical, but Shane told me that he changed the entire file, so that was expected. My difference was very incredibly small, so it wasn't an issue to just use the latest revision that he created as a start and then apply my changes to that. I t ...Continue Reading

Thanks Shane! Your work that's in CVS is top notch - wonderfully done. > (1) Are there any known bugs with the program's CSS right now? (My > browser > testing suite includes multiple versions of IE/Win, so I'd be happy > to take > a closer look at any IE-specific culprits that might still be out > there.) I think there are two issues - one that we've both talked about with each other and that's the borders on the checkboxes/radio buttons. I really like the borders on the other buttons, a ...Continue Reading

any and all CSS bugs, suggestions and snippets welcomed

July 24th 2005 UTC

Having now completed the Twelve Feats of Skazat to become Dada Mail's latest developer, I've decided to get my feet wet in two (hopefully) modest ways. The first is by proofreading all the human-readable bits of individual files -- both the program's default HTML and email messages and the PODs -- as I happen upon them. This is kind of schoolmarm-ish, but Justin doesn't seem to mind. :-) And the second is by doing a review of the program's CSS, fixing anything that needs fixing, and maybe adding a bit of functional ...Continue Reading

Dad_bridge.pl

Justin, I'm using v1.26 now, what exactly is the function of the Use Moderation checkbox ? Isn't moderation the fact that an email is send to a moderator before he post it to the list ? That is covered by the checkboxes furtherdown the screen. Or is it still incomplete, like how do we know who the moderators are who can post from different email addresses ? Anotheer thing, my .tmp dir is still filling up with all kinds of files when the MIMI_OPTIMIZE setting is anything else but 'no tmp files'.... Alfred ...Continue Reading

Re: feature request: nomail

July 20th 2005 UTC

Depends on what you have exactly in mind. I extended my own version of dada with an option to allow posts from non-subscribers. That means, anyone can post to the list from any email address. Of course, such a list is very sensitive to SPAM as well. Another way is to only allow the list owner to send an email to the list from any addrss. To achieve this, I modified dada_bridge in such a way that you can put a specific password in the subject line which is filtered out of course before the email is send to the subscrib ...Continue Reading

It's basically what moderation will allow - although the bits and pieces that allow you to work with a moderated group are in CVS - I'll release an alpha soon; Justin Simoni ...Continue Reading
