(Suffice to say, I actually sent those personal emails to dada@.... I'm pooped right now. I think it's bedtime.) ...Continue Reading

That *is* weird! Keep me posted as to how things turns out with different CVS programs. In the meantime, you're probably well advised to do an update of the /templates/ folder every time, *before* you dip into it, because as you know, I'm making changes fast and furious in there. :-) > I'm going to make an ann ...Continue Reading

CVS remove solution

August 1st 2005 UTC

As I've stated, it looks like the problem with deleting files is with the CVS GUI frontend I was using - in CVS-land (or is it, CVSland? (: ), you have to first remove a file from your local repository, send the, "cvs rm" command to the CVS server, and then commit the file. More details: http://cvsbook.red-bean.com/cvsbook.html#What%20Happens%20When% 20You%20Remove%20A%20File The problem is, that when you remove a file from your local repository, my GUI frontend would magically make the file I ...Continue Reading

> I'd like to change my vote. :-) OK, me too - let's do email, since it's a pain to type, e-mail. I think I did prefer e-mail - I did my own research and changed everything about and stuck to that convention, but I think the change was for version 2.0 - in 2000 :) Apple's Mail.app spells it, "email" - and you *know* Apple couldn't possibly do any bad. Thanks for the epistemological hike. Justin Simoni ...Continue Reading

Re: >e-mail, email ...I actually use "email" in my own life/work. My reasons for putting "e-mail" as my first choice were: (A) because Justin seems to prefer it [if the majority spelling in the program right now is any indication]; and (B) becuase when I went to the Wiktionary, the first thing I saw was this redirect page: http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/email The counter-arguments are: (A) who cares how things are now, if there's a better way [see also: "blacklist"] - after all, this ...Continue Reading

I *always* assume you're the prolific one...so my procedure from the start has been to hit that "update" button like a rat on cocaine -- both before I start work on a file, and occasionally also when I'm in the middle of something time-consuming. ...And with all those updates, I've never had a conflict. > I'm getting a lot of conflicts - basically any > file we're both on, because y ...Continue Reading

CVS Updates

July 31st 2005 UTC

Hey Shane, Can you make sure you do a, "Update" before you edit and commit changes in the CVS? I'm getting a lot of conflicts - basically any file we're both on, because you're using an older version of the file, Cheers, Justin Simoni ...Continue Reading
