Hello everyone, Just to keep everyone abreast on the new features in the upcoming release, here's what the changelog is looking like. I'm moving this to, "beta" status, and testing this internally. A release should be fairly soon: 11.11.0 Focus This is a major feature release of the app. Features Scheduled Mailings Scheduled mailings allow you to write a draft message, then have it ready to be sent in the future. Recurring mass mailings can also be set up, and you can grab the content of a message from a URL ...Continue Reading

Thanks, Justin. Somehow I missed that in the changelog and if you announced it here. Looks like I need to update. I know you’ve said it wouldn’t be a good fit in the past, but throwing it out there again just in case…Any chance of being able to send a test to multiple test recipients all at once from the scheduled mailing interface (not using the test sublist)?I send mailings that require various groups of people to approve different mailings, so the test recipients sublist doesn’t really work for me as it’s constantly changing. I have to do test mailings one at a time to each recipient using the Send test mailing feature.Mary AnnO ...Continue Reading

OK, I won't say I'm done adding stuff (anymore), but I'm getting close Along with the other scheduled mailings features, add: [*]Test Mode! Send a scheduled mass mailing, but only to test recipients. Should help to suss out if these are working. I feel not many people use this feature, as they feel anxious about it. -- Justin J: Lead Dadaist.url: http://dadamailproject.com email: justin@PROTECTED twitter: @dadamail skype: leaddadaist Dada Mail Announcements:http://dadamailproject.com/cgi-bin/dada/mail.cgi/list/da ...Continue Reading

Adding to this some more, concerning scheduled mailings: [*]There will be an option to send an email notification out to the list owner for both success and failures of sending a scheduled mailing out. (Sometimes things happen). OK, I think I'm done with working on things for this new release, I'll be putting this through its paces for a little while before releasing, Justin J: Lead Dadaist.url: http://dadamailproject.com email: justin@PROTECTED twitter: @dadamail skype: leaddadaist Dada Mail Announcements:http:// ...Continue Reading

A few more things I've been working on: [*]The installer now pre-runs the tests to see if things like your SQL connection, Bounce Handler login, SES credentials are working, so that when you're upgrading, you don't have to do this yourself. I know this saves me a few button clicks. [*]You'll now be able to choose if you'd like to see message previews of mass mailings in either the modal window (that's how things work now) or in a new window. Sometimes it's nice to get it out in a new window, to see what it'll look l ...Continue Reading

Hello everyone, A few new features will be found in the next version of Dada Mail concerning discussion lists, both dealing with moderating. The first is being able to set exactly what addresses should need to be moderated, rather than, "everyone" or, "everyone, except these people". Similar to this, you can set to only moderate subscribers who have only been members for a short period of time, like a day or a week, or a month. That should stop abuse from members who have just signed on. Also, I' ...Continue Reading
