Do you anticipate making anonymized clickthrough tracking available, or at ...Continue Reading

Smells a little bit like Y2K all over again... My feeling is that most entities are going to be completely unprepared for GDPR, but us in the States.. it's a hard pill to swallow, right? From: Hi Justin, All no problem - to be clear, my points were made from the perspective not of underestimating but of prioritising. There are lots of people running around making a lot of money from GDPR over here at present. A large amount of the panic in the UK originates from the fact that the mass focus on Brexit completely over shadowed GDPR and the Information Commissioner (the UK regulator) had originally been criticised for being well behind the game for published information and advice. About 12 months beh ...Continue Reading

I’ve been on the fence about switching to a mailing service because of GDPR. If significant changes are made to Dada to make compliance with GDPR easier (including being able to do a search for subscribers who had not interacted with a list through opens and/or clickthroughs specified in an advanced search), I would definitely be willing to support the development. What is allowed is what is stated in the privacy policy, so it seems that you are only responsible for offering that granularity to to the list owner with the explanation that compliance is on them (kind of like you do with allowing disabling the unsubscribe link - tell them what their responsibilities are but still allow it). Thanks again Mary for chiming ...Continue Reading

Again this is something I don't think you Justin can control in every instance of Dada Mail. So the better way would be to flag it as I have suggested above or by similar means.” I agree with this. From: Hi Justin from GDPR land! I have been doing a mass of stuff with GDPR and I would say that it does need taking seriously, but on the other hand I would encourage you to make any changes from the perspective that requirements need to be highlighted to the list owner/maker when setting up. The reason I say this is that I think you run the risk of busting a good product trying to cater for things that can only be implemented by the list owner/maker setting up Dada Mail. Example : The list owner must display or m ...Continue Reading

From: Howdy everyone. I'm actively tackling the GDPR monster. It's a big issue, and I'm taking it very seriously. I know some of you have questions about GDPR and Dada Mail. Boy do I have some too. Right now, I'm working on the "record of consent" part of all this, and also just what constituted "consent". So good part: Dada Mail, since way back in the day, has kept records on things like requests to subscribe, confirming subscriptions, unsubscriptions - stuff like that. That information can ...Continue Reading
