Back in the hot seat

September 7th 2014 UTC

Hello everyone, Just a quick note to let everyone know I'm back doing Dadq Mail work, after my Holiday: I did manage to meet my goal of riding a bike to all the Colorado 14ers (and then summiting them) in a record time. Huzzah! ...Continue Reading

v7.1.0 feature: Stationary!

July 4th 2014 UTC

Hello everyone! v7.1.0 will be out soonish - one of the new features in it will be Stationary. Stationary are sort of like Drafts, but they stick around, until you don't want them anymore. A lot of people tell me they basically send the same message, again and again, with minor differences in content (come to think of it, that's what I do, too!), so it would be nice to be able to have most of the message already done, and then fill in the needed changes. So, that's what we've got. Here's the branch that's currently ...Continue Reading

Google Analytics

June 9th 2014 UTC

Is there an easy way to add google analytics tracking code into Dada so that we can trace signups? Right now the tracking code stops tracking as soon as they leave the page with the signup form, so there is no way to see whether a visitor subscribed or just left the page.  Untitled Document Warm regards, Mary Ann Post: mailto:dadadev@PROTECTED Unsubscribe » ...Continue Reading

Re: strange coding using p.p. mode

June 7th 2014 UTC

Great, thanks. :) I was pleased that the problems I had with the partial list mailings were resolved when I upgraded (at least as far as my test lists go - a mailing to the big list hasn't gone out yet but I assume it will have the same results). strange coding using p.p. mode

June 3rd 2014 UTC

I use p.p. mode with bridge and most from: names render fine. Certain addresses show up like this screen grab:https://www.evernote.com/shard/s109/sh/8a2cf59a-4449-43a3-81b1-56bb49a4546d/74e35fa51ac8784a0503bdc443682e39The utf-8 encoding garble is what is showing up in the listing of emails instead of the sender's name, and when the email is opened it precedes that address instead of listing the name. Most of the time it displays the name properly. I haven't been able to determine a common factor like certain ISPs, but ...Continue Reading

RFC for new feature idea: tracked "confirmed" subscriptions

May 28th 2014 UTC

My friendly peeps from au Canada are talking a lot about the new Canadian anti-spam law: http://fightspam.gc.ca/eic/site/030.nsf/eng/h_00211.html Basically it requires you to have an opt-in list - a good thing. But, one of the things lacking in Dada Mail is a way to say, "yes, this list is totally opt-in", and then show data to support this fact. One new feature in Dada Mail could be to supply this information easily and one way to do that, is to just have a new table in then db that says, for each li ...Continue Reading
