Hello Everyone - v8 is out the door! Give it a go - http://dadamailproject.com/d/install_dada_mail.pod.html v7 - v8 guide: http://dadamailproject.com/d/dada7_to_dada8.pod.html The big story is the move to the CGI::Application framework, which was actually a ton of work, once started, even though initiating the move was relatively straightforward - just ugh! all the little details to get down perfect. Knew that one was coming. What moving to this framework gives the app is the ability to run pretty well under ...Continue Reading

Hello Everyone, v8, beta 1 is out, which means I'm out of things to do for this release, and I'll be working on updating the manual to reflect the changes - which! aren't many on the user side of things. Give the new version of a try - if you're running it under PSGI, it's a huge performance increase. Huge. This release is going to allow people to run pretty busy Dada Mail installs, with quite a few lists going on at the same time. It's gonna be a next level thing. I'm kinda afraid ;) If you're happy with running Da ...Continue Reading

> I can provide a sample config for the documentation if you want. Sure, I'd love to see it. I'm working on setting up a doc on deployment, as I work on PSGI support - I guess this will be testable in v8 alpha 3, as alpha 2 just doesn't have the support. Here's what I've got so far: :: Installing: use the command line tool - here's a sample incantation to install Dada Mail: sudo ./install.cgi --program_url http://127.0.0.1 \ --dada_root_pass secret \ --support_files_dir_path /Library/WebServer/Documents \ ...Continue Reading

This email reminded me that I forgot to reply that I have an answer for why FastCGI wasn't working. It was an Nginx configuration issue. I haven't done all of the testing yet, but the site does come up properly. I can provide a sample config for the documentation if you want.
