Moshe tested it for me and found that it is a browser bug in Firefox. It’s not downloading the protected file itself, but it downloads the code for the login page in a file with the name of the file being protected (I didn’t try to open the file so it never occurred to me that when the name was correct that it wasn’t actually the protected-file). I’m using password protect directories on one of my sites and have found a weird issue. The protection works with one exception. When viewing the blacklist under Membership, I can't "Filter Subscribers through the Blacklist" to remove them. I get an error message and the error log shows No such run mode 'blacklist_filter_form' at /Library/WebServer/Documents/vtnews/mail.cgi line 24.It is more of an inconvenience, since I have to drop them manually directly through MySQL.We have an HTML list and plain text list for the daily email sent to all employees.
