I use MacPorts to keep things up to date on the server that Dada Mail runs on (a Macintosh running 10.10). I have mail.cgi pointing to the /opt/local/When I did an update the other day, I received a couple of messages from list subscribers who were having problems opening email messages. So in the very near future, (for example), you'll be able to change all the Sending Preferences for all your mailing lists (or choose exactly which ones you would like t save to)at the same time. Moshe tested it for me and found that it is a browser bug in Firefox. It’s not downloading the protected file itself, but it downloads the code for the login page in a file with the name of the file being protected (I didn’t try to open the file so it never occurred to me that when the name was correct that it wasn’t actually the protected-file). I’m using password protect directories on one of my sites and have found a weird issue. The protection works with one exception. If there is a direct link on a non-protected page to a file download, then when I use right-click and “Save link as”, the login comes up. When I hit cancel, it lets me download the file anyway. I tested it for multiple files. Trying to access the file either by clicking the link or pasting the URL in the address bar prevents access, but the right click allows access after canceling the login ...Continue Reading
