Re: PERL Problem

May 27th 2016 PDT

Bruce Sounds like when you upgraded your Perl it broke your perl modules. Its complaining that you don’t have Carp installed no? I like to use Plenv which is a virtual env for Perl.  https://github.com/tokuhirom/plenv#homebrew-on-mac-os-x   —Eric S. Re: PERL Problem

May 27th 2016 PDT

Here is a follow-up. In searching for a possible solution, I found a message I had posted here back in February about the same problem. At that time, I was able to back off the MacPorts upgrade and things worked. This time, I changed mail.cgi to point to perl5.16 (the default is perl5.22) and everything started working again. I did find a number of references in my search to this error going from a warning in Perl to an actual error. Here is the full error from the log (I left off part in the previous message; got in ...Continue Reading

PERL Problem

May 27th 2016 PDT

Used MacPorts to do an upgrade to installed programs and it apparently broke Dada Mail. Nothing works and the error log is filled with: Use of uninitialized value $error[0] in join or string at /opt/local/lib/perl5/5.22/Carp.pm line 489, <CONFIG> line 1. at /Library/WebServer/Documents/vtnews/DADA/App.pm line 12012.Is there a patch or fix for this? Re: No stats in main Tracker screen

May 20th 2016 PDT

That is probably it. The list is large and over 10 years old, so there is lots of data. I'll look at deleting some of the old data. Is there any variable I can change to avoid it timing out if that is the problem? Any thoughts on what is happening when I try to view the Tracker page in Chrome or Safari and it redirects me in a never-ending loop? No stats in main Tracker screen

May 20th 2016 PDT

Any idea why my main Tracker screen always looks like this:In case attachments aren’t allowed, you can view a screenshot here: https://www.evernote.com/l/AG2p0_V5SiNPDYasachASrU2y7Bvhs0VBecWhen I click through all the stats are there for each mailing. Clearing the data cache doesn’t help, but reloading the page sometimes does. And if the stats are there, clearing the cache sometimes makes them go away. I am using FF so it could be browser specific, but every time I try to load the Tracker page in Safari or Chrome, it r ...Continue Reading

Mass Mailing Count Malfunction

May 19th 2016 PDT

Every so often one of our scheduled mass mailings gets hung and needs to be restarted. The error that shows up isWarning: $mass_mailing_count: 4286 is not the same as  $new_count: 4298Typically the count is off by 1 with today's large disparity a bit unusual. Pausing then restarting the mailing gets things back on track, but it the problem crops up early in the send out it may not be discovered for a couple of hours, which delays sending of a time-sensitive message.Listed below are the various lines from the log ...Continue Reading
