The problem is that Outlook (and Windows Mail) totally mess up standard HTML formatting that all other programs can handle properly. Those who follow sites like Office-Watch.com will know all about just how terrible Outlook's HTML-handling capabilities are. You didn't say what Dada Mail version you were using before, but there have been changes to HTML over time. Are you using the built-in HTML templates, or do you have them turned off like Bruce does? If you are, it is likely possible to compare the old and new and s ...Continue Reading

I have the same problem send from Outlook 2016. Before the update to the latest DadaMail it worked fine. Now it’s double spaced. So, since it worked before the update, it can’t be Outlook. Has to be a setting in DaDa. Where? *From:* dadadev@PROTECTED <dadadev@PROTECTED> *Sent:* Sunday, April 1, 2018 6:06 PM*To:* Dada Mail Developers Subscriber <georgem@PROTECTED>*Subject:* [dadadev] Added vertical whitespace From: webmaster@PROTEC ...Continue Reading

After looking at message source in emails from different devices and apps, I've concluded it's Windows 10 Mail that's messing with my head. It's showing me the in-composition message as if it's inserting breaks, not paragraph tags. Typical Microsoft, using their own styles and such in the generated html. Guess I'll just have to get used to remembering where I've hit enter vs ctrl-enter. Or find a better email app for Windows. *From: * Bruce Scherzinger webmaster@PROTECTED [Dada Mail Developers] <dadadev ...Continue Reading

Of course. But again, these messages are composed in rich text (html) format and they look a lot different in my outbox than in my inbox, but only when they've gone through Dada Mail. I can send myself an email direct from one account to another, different types/providers and I only see this in Dada list returns. I believe some sort of reformatting must be happening. I just need to understand it and, hopefully, figure out how to prevent it. Bruce *From: * dleffler@PROTECTED dleffler@PROTECTED [Dada Mail ...Continue Reading

I believe this is the ‘style’ for p tags…e.g., each paragraph has space (a bottom margin) following it, so adding a blank line between paragraphs in your email is the equivalent of 1st paragraph, space, empty paragraph, space, 2nd paragraph space, empty paragraph, space, etc… *Dave Leffler* *From:* dadadev@PROTECTED <dadadev@PROTECTED> *Sent:* Sunday, April 01, 2018 6:05 PM*To:* Dada Mail Developers Subscriber <dleffler@PROTECTED>*Subject:* [dadadev] Added vertical whitespace ...Continue Reading

I forgot one detail. I have use of templates/styles disabled. So I don’t get messages like the one you are reading here. They are supposed to look exactly how they are composed. _______________________________________________Bruce Scherzinger, HME HOA Webmaster * webmaster@PROTECTED *From: *Bruce Scherzinger webmaster@PROTECTED [Dada Mail Developers]*Sent: *Sunday, April 1, 2018 6:01 PM*To: *Dada Mail Developers Subscriber*Subject: *[dadadev] Extra vertical spacing being added ...Continue Reading

For some reason, when I send an email from Windows 10 Mail to one of my Dada lists, it multiplies the vertical whitespace. So if I enter a hard return, I get a blank line in between the two paragraphs. This is now how it looks when I am composing the email, nor how it looks in the Sent folder. And I don’t see this in replies I get from individuals when they include my original message. Is there some Dada Mail setting I am overlooking or is Windows 10 Mail doing this? Anyone else experiencing this? Thanks ...Continue Reading

I use Dada Mail exclusively via the Bridge plugin. It seems that whenever I send an email to one of the lists, the received emails have a blank line where I hit Enter (no blank line). And each blank lines gets turned into twice that amount of space. Is there some setting I am not aware of that fixes this? My emails end up having a lot of vertical whitespace. Or is it Windows 10 mail doing this to me? Thanks in advance, Bruce _______________________________________________Bruce Scherzinger * webmaster@PROTECTED ...Continue Reading
