RE: Archive Editor For Dada Mail - Request for Comments

November 1st 2005 UTC

Justin, This will be helpful and enables the archives to be used almost as a notice board if desired. Looking forward to the facility. All the best for the program coding... Archive Editor For Dada Mail - Request for Comments

October 31st 2005 UTC

Hello everyone. I've been commissioned to (re)make the archive editor for Dada Mail. Below is a small writeup of what I propose. I'm asking for anyone that's interested to give me some comments and feedback on the below ideas so that I can have this feature work great for as many people as possible - thanks! Background Dada Mail had an archive editor, but as the complexity of messages Dada Mail could create increased, the less usuable the editor became, since the editor could only edit singlepart messages ...Continue Reading

Two installations

October 28th 2005 UTC

Justin, I have two sites now using dadaMail. Both are getting feedback that they are getting sporadic announcements from the list. It's not really all an AOL thing is it seems to be for GerardTruffle. Here's my pitch. I respect your time and rate. I would like to see if it was my set-up and configuring that is causing the trouble, or something more diabolical.. as long as it's not my fault. I would like to hire you to look at these two installations and ferret-out any thing I may have messed up. Personally... I'm c ...Continue Reading

Ah, that should be the archives subscription table - there's now a specific one for MySQL and Postgres, I think the Postgres one is the same, MySQL now should work better with large archived messages. No changes have been made to the subscribers SQL table, although there is a new plaintext2SQL script to help you migrate over, which is nice; ...Continue Reading

email-program print samples requested

October 4th 2005 UTC

One of the things on my to-do/wishlist for Dada Mail version 2.11 is a print stylesheet for the program's archive pages. I thought I should at least start that process in motion sooner rather than later. (And, hey, if it gets finished before version 2.11, all the better!) To this end, I'd like to gather together samples of how other email programs style their "print versions" of messages, simply so I/we can see how others have solved the problem. There might be some interesting-cool ideas out there...and for ...Continue Reading
