Multiple Fields (again)

November 15th 2005 UTC

Hey all, I'm a little behind on the release schedule, because I want to also announce a project to get multiple fields in Dada Mail sometime this decade. It's fairly apparent that: * I won't get a client that wants to drop all the money to get this feature in. * I cannot take the amount of unpaid time to make it happen myself, without gambling my own well-being *ie: working for free for a month makes me very low on money!) * Lots and I mean, LOTS of people want this feature in and are willing to give a li ...Continue Reading

Automating 'Scheduled Mailing"

November 13th 2005 UTC

[Reposted here per Justin's Request] Hello Justin, Sometime ago, I contacted you about possibly automating the scheduled mailing module. The concept of entering each file individually into the program was quite a hassle. Anyway, I have come up with a solution. I created a separate directory for all mail that I want sent via the scheduled mail module. Next, I upload the files to that directory with the dates to be sent as the file name; i.e., 11-01-05.txt, 11-02-05.txt, etc. I can do the same for HTML based files as ...Continue Reading

2.10.2 - out on Monday

November 9th 2005 UTC

Hello, This is a heads up to let everyone know that Dada Mail, 2.10.2 will be released next Monday - The release will feature nothing but bug fixes and the new archive editor in a beta form. Good news - the archive editor is pretty successful, even in its relatively primitive form. If you have any bugs that you'd like to submit, please do so here: http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?group_id=13002&atid=113002 Bugs that don't get submitted rarely get fixed, so please post them here! Thanks! ...Continue Reading

Hey Guys,Ok, here's some more about the editor - a quick walkthrough. As an example, I'll be sending via the, "Send a Webpage" feature in Dada Mail - in this example, http://prolix.nu, setting the, "Images in this Webpage Should:", to: "be embedded in the message itself."This will give me a message that has an attachment that's used in the message itself - it's the easiest way to make a message with embedded images. Anyways, I click send and away it goes! Now here's the new stuff - this ...Continue Reading

Archive Editor Update

November 8th 2005 UTC

Just a quick update - I'll have more news soon - I have a semi-functional archive editor! At the moment, it only edits text parts of any message - but of any message, or ANY complexity, so it already trumps the old editor (which dada doesn't even ship with, anymore. So good news on that front and a real breakthrough for me. Good thing too - it's still very KISS. I'll have some screenshots soon, hopefully, Cheers, ...Continue Reading
