Schedules now backed up, beginning of a Perl API cookbook

October 4th 2006 PDT

Hey everyone, Quick note, Just committed some changes to allow the Beatitude schedules to have the same auto-backup features that the settings and archives have enjoyed. Should help someone, somewhere. Pretty hairy getting that in place. Also, the next release of the 2.11 alpha will have a whole slew of changes - one nice change is the ability to turn on a lot more debugging flags easily, so if some weird things are happening, you may get more help in figuring out why. Currently, it's much easier to se ...Continue Reading

Dev. Update

September 27th 2006 PDT

I've been working pretty hard on the auto-pickup feature in Dada Mail. It's basically ready for the Real World, having been rewritten a few times already. One of the neater things is a new big red button that looks like this:The button itself will allow you to stop a mailing in its tracks, if that's something that needs to be done. The rest of the functionality now has a test suite attached to it, that helps in making sure what it's supposed to do, is what it actually does and that any changes I've made don't break so ...Continue Reading

CRON errors

September 25th 2006 PDT

Occasionally I get errors back from the CRON Daemon, running dadabridge.pl is the only CRON job I have running. It boils down to 2 software errors: can't connect to db: at /home/mysite/public_html/cgi-bin/dada/DADA/App/DBIHandle.pm line 84. Can't call method "login" on an undefined value at /home/mysite/public_html/cgi-bin/dada/plugins/dada_bridge.pl line 715. Operation seems otherwise normal...anything I should be worried about or just the occasional hickup. Alfred ...Continue Reading
