Hey William, Thanks for the feedback - I'll be integrating it into the FAQ soon. (Really does help me out) > What constitutes "a whole lotta people"? I'm curious as an Dada Mail > administrator how big is big. Good question, but it is subjective. Some people will have, "a lot" be 100 people - for example in an entire small town parish; or, "a lot", being their entire Asian consumer base for a fortune 500 company. In the first, Dada Mail may be installed on a relatively c ...Continue Reading

Hi Justin, Nice job on the mail monitoring and batch auto-pickup features. I haven't tried them yet but look forward to the next release. A very quick review of your FAQ led to the following: 1. "This FAQ specifically tries to answer questions about sending a whole lotta mail, to a whole lotta people, through Dada Mail." What constitutes "a whole lotta people"? I'm curious as an Dada Mail administrator how big is big. 2. "Dada Mail will send a specific amount of message out," Typo. Th ...Continue Reading

I just posted a new set of FAQ's that goes into great deal on how the batching feature and auto-pickup feature works in Dada Mail, 2.11: http://mojo.skazat.com/support/documentation/FAQ- mailing_list_sending.pod.html If anyone has a few moments and would like to read through it and let me know if it all makes sense, if there are any speling corrections that need to be made, or grammar suggestions, I would be most- appreciative. If you'd like, the raw POD is here: And what POD is, is explained at: But you c ...Continue Reading

Thanks for the suggestion - I'm very much open to dropping YaBB like, well, like you don't even want to know. Simple Machines uses MySQL for the backend though. I'm going to need a Postgres solution. ...Continue Reading

My login was rejected -- I entered my username, asked for a password reminder, and was told "no such username" -- tried to register using that username and was told "username already exists" -- sheesh! Justin, I suggest you look at Simple Machines Forum software. I run a board with it and find it very solid and e ...Continue Reading

Hello My dadadev topic of the day: Help customizing Dada Mail for your own internal needs I started to brood over a multiple fields solution for dada. Just trying to get an idea about multiple fields. Part I: Defining fields / db stuff Additional module that manages the fields per list. Functions for adding, removing, editing fields. E.g.: Table: dada_mfields mfield_id, mfields_label, mfields_status, PRIMARY KEY(mfields_id) e.g. mfields_label: "Telefone:" Then the n:m relation between dada_subscribers ...Continue Reading

I've been working a little bit on the layout of the Sending Monitor Screen - I ditched the table and made a status bar, which gives you a better idea at a glance:That's about it,Cheers, --Justin Simoni.: Dada Mail"Write Once - Distribute Everywhere" Email Communication Software url: http://mojo.skazat.comaolim: leaddadaist Post: mailto:dadadev@PROTECTED Unsubscribe: http://mojo.skazat.com/cgi-bin/dada/mail.cgi/u/[list]/ List Information: http://mojo.skazat.com/cgi-bin/dada/mail.cgi/ ...Continue Reading

Yes, for now I will make a small script that will handle my bunch of emails very quickly as they are in the format one mail in one line and I have already make the check for the validity of the emails. I will insert it as a plug-in that after a few checks simply will copy the file submitted in the $FILES directory and name it with the extensions .list and the name of the shortmailinglist. Ciao.
