I'll add them to the FAQ for other people. Earlier this year a couple of people and I started a gaming web site for gamers who are blind. The web sit ...Continue Reading

Thanks for everyone that chimed in on helping with the Demo site for Dada Mail - I got a great response and I think we're going to work something really well out. It helps a lot so thanks a lot ;) Here's another request for people on shared hosting accounts - I'd like to try documenting the sending limitations for popular shared hosting services. For example, according to Dreamhost: http://wiki.dreamhost.com/index.php/Smtp-quota There's an SMTP quota - meaning an outbound mail quota of 100 messages an ho ...Continue Reading

Hey Justin. I have used your program on and off for years. Even run a copy that is a totally hacked old version with a tab gui, multipble field support (my implementation), inline html editor and and and..... I can do these thing because I have a dedicated server and actually run it as a hosting platform :) Since I have a lot of respect for what you do, I'm offering you an account on the system - gratis. Well, a plug here and there for the hosting would of course be appreciated but not in fact required. The platform wo ...Continue Reading

Hey guys/gals, I haven't had a working demo of Dada Mail up and running on the support site in years. Does anyone have a account they could lend to be able to do this? Mail sending would obviously be disabled. Need about 10 megs or so, probably going to be low traffic and I've never received a security problem in the program that lead to Bad Things - Anyone can help? I don't think I can install the program on Sourceforge, since they have a, "read only" File System, Cheers, ...Continue Reading

Heya, I've been working on the moderation system - namely, dada_bridge.pl actually now *has* one and it's currently on, for this list. If it takes a little longer to see your message being sent to the list - it just hasn't been moderated yet. At the moment, only the list owner (namely: me) can approve/reject messages, but soon I'll hook in a separate list of moderators that either can all moderate a mailing, or are picked by random. I sort of want to allow the list to moderate itself - so a few addresses ...Continue Reading

Hey William, Thanks for the feedback - I'll be integrating it into the FAQ soon. (Really does help me out) > What constitutes "a whole lotta people"? I'm curious as an Dada Mail > administrator how big is big. Good question, but it is subjective. Some people will have, "a lot" be 100 people - for example in an entire small town parish; or, "a lot", being their entire Asian consumer base for a fortune 500 company. In the first, Dada Mail may be installed on a relatively c ...Continue Reading

Hi Justin, Nice job on the mail monitoring and batch auto-pickup features. I haven't tried them yet but look forward to the next release. A very quick review of your FAQ led to the following: 1. "This FAQ specifically tries to answer questions about sending a whole lotta mail, to a whole lotta people, through Dada Mail." What constitutes "a whole lotta people"? I'm curious as an Dada Mail administrator how big is big. 2. "Dada Mail will send a specific amount of message out," Typo. Th ...Continue Reading

I just posted a new set of FAQ's that goes into great deal on how the batching feature and auto-pickup feature works in Dada Mail, 2.11: http://mojo.skazat.com/support/documentation/FAQ- mailing_list_sending.pod.html If anyone has a few moments and would like to read through it and let me know if it all makes sense, if there are any speling corrections that need to be made, or grammar suggestions, I would be most- appreciative. If you'd like, the raw POD is here: And what POD is, is explained at: But you c ...Continue Reading

Thanks for the suggestion - I'm very much open to dropping YaBB like, well, like you don't even want to know. Simple Machines uses MySQL for the backend though. I'm going to need a Postgres solution. ...Continue Reading
