Yes, I too use Westhost, but the normal install probably doesn't set up discussion lists, and other "advanced" features, and they don't upgrade versions very often, so I have just always done the install myself (after the first time). -joeOn Mon, Apr 7, 2008 at 7:28 PM, John Collins <john@PROTECTED> wrote: At 6:42 PM -0400 4/7/08, Dada Mail wrote: Anyone that has a Bluehost account, can you confirm this? http://www.bluehostforum.com/showthread.php?p=51861 SimpleScripts is an auto ...Continue Reading

Thanks for that info Justin - I'll give it a try and see how she goes. I think I have other issues too as a bit of intense activity shouldn't harm a healthy server. My server had been crashing due to severe disk thrashing, so I physically monitored the console with top (linux system activity monitor). I noticed that there were many threads of mail.cgi starting up so I checked the http logs, and sure enough some machine (85.54.129.60) was doing what appeared to be a denial of service attack on me. Either that or it was trying to hack mail.cgi to use it as a bot, find email addresses or whatever. Has anyone on-list had similar experiences? i blocked that address at the firewall and ...Continue Reading

Problem apparently was permissions on my data directory, which I haven't tried using in forever. Went ahead and installed the 3.0 Beta, and it's up and running. Now just need some time to set up all the databases and such. -JoeOn Mon, Mar 24, 2008 at 8:40 AM, Joe Rizza <joe@PROTECTED> wrote: Well, I did change it, per instructions to /use CGI::Carp "fatalsToBrowser"; /when I started having problems.//If the new version doesn't come out before I get back to it then I'll just copy the mail.c ...Continue Reading

Well, I did change it, per instructions to /use CGI::Carp "fatalsToBrowser"; /when I started having problems.//If the new version doesn't come out before I get back to it then I'll just copy the mail.cgi again, and start over with it, to make sure I didn't inadvertently change something else. It's Monday, and that means back to work, so you might very well beat me to the release. ;-) -joeOn Mon, Mar 24, 2008 at 12:12 AM, Dada Mail <dada@PROTECTED> wrote: > Trying to install this and get ...Continue Reading

OK - I'm running out of time to release this properly, so bear with me until tomorrow or the next, but if you'd like to play with the next release, here it be: http://mojo.skazat.com/_dl/dada-3_0_beta_1-unoffical.tar.gz It's again based on the 2.11 alphas - but this version has about a month and a half more work from the last alpha release. It's pretty rock solid - I've been installing it for clients for a few weeks, now. I'm pretty content. I made a lot of changes and I haven't tested this very exact rel ...Continue Reading
