The guys at SimpleScripts got 3.0 working on their deployment super thingy about 5 seconds after I told them it's available :) It installs Dada Mail in the advanced installation way, outside config file, SQL backend and everything. Kinda cool. If you want to play around with 3.0, that's a pretty easy way to do so. Bluehost also gave me about 3 test accounts, complete with domain names for testing purposes, which I thought was very nice of them. And, as a little Dada Mail-fu - Dada Mail should install pretty ...Continue Reading

Sigh. I'm not terribly irked by it (at least with the css tweaks you've posted) - although I'm wishing that the ...Continue Reading

Hi Justin, I just have installed 3.0 Beta 1. The new subscriber fields looks pretty exiting! Just a small remark about the GUI: The updated layout looks great in Firefox, but unfortunately not so well in Internet Explorer v7.0. See the screenshot below. As you can see, the grey background is coming out of the top of the <fieldset> tag and there is no left or right padding inside the fieldset. When I change the left and right margin to paddings in the style sheet, it looks a b ...Continue Reading

I finally got around to releasing the 3.0 Beta 1 "officially". This version does differ from the, "unofficial" version in a variety of ways. I think the most notable one is that the Bounce Handler Scorecards now have the option to be saved in the SQL backed. The direct download links: http://downloads.sourceforge.net/mojomail/dada-3_0_beta_1.tar.gz?use_mirror=osdn http://downloads.sourceforge.net/mojomail/dada-3_0_beta_1.zip?use_mirror=osdn You may want to give this version a shot - and a ...Continue Reading

I had to go to a 'premium shared server account' with Westhost at a cost of $64/mo in order to send out my list of 30,000. To the contrary, Hostmonster defaults the limit to 50 emails outbound per hour. If asked, they will increase it to 500 emails/hr. Not very good for sending limits in my eyes, but my lists don't have that many users in them, and the list is only used every couple of days. If I had a serious list that would be used a lot, I would have to find a different host, or ask my list members to be patient ..... ugh ..... ~regards Michael Sagaser Information & Computer Technology East Carolina University Henry Hughes wr ...Continue Reading
