Thank you. I try not to be a crotchety old guy, but sometimes I have a lot of balls in the air and am always behind schedule so when I run into things I don't understand, I yell for help. Right behind stable on my wish list is super fast sending. I tried the $MASS_MAIL_SETTINGS = ">>/dev/null"; Then tried sending. Dada opened the progress window, but, of course, nothing was being sent so I have no idea what the speed rate is. Sorry, but that's above my pay grade. I didn't know where else to lo ...Continue Reading

FYI- It is S-L-O-W! It's sending at the rate of under 1800 per hour. With 18,000 to send it will take over ten hours. This is not workable. I cannot send a second msg in the same day. I just checked my archives and back in Aprll, I sent 19, 600 in 58 mins total (vers 2.x, which was typical at that time). Sending rates have been decreasing since then, with the largest drop on this edition. I called Westhost support and was told that they have not made any changes to the mail servers. Further, they said tha ...Continue Reading

Hi Gerry, Since only one list is sent at a time, the "monitor your mailings" = 0/5 probably means that one stopped list is holding up the others. Don't bother testing with 3.0.0. Justin has just released 3.0.1 which made many changes to the sending process. Several of us were having issues that were fixed in 3.0.1. After posting this I went to the support forum and noticed others were having a similar problem since I also am on goDaddy. Though with 2.10.11b I dont have any issues, its just with 3.0.0 (I said 3.0.1 earlier which is incorrect). Before installing 3.0.0 I backed up and and have since reverted to the old version, so I can get mail out. I'll play with 3.0.0 when I have time after the holidays. or use it on a test list Gerry ----- Original Message ----- *From:* Gerry Campos *To:* Dada Mail ...Continue Reading

hello and happy holidays, I have an urgent announcement that I cannot get out. The list just wont send out. I had, up until last week, 2.10.11b and was working great, I then upgraded to 3.0.1 and I think it worked once on test messages but it is not sending with regular list. It keeps queing up and thats it. below is the verbose info. in the left column under "send a list message"; "monitor your mailings" has 0/5. Though, when I first see the logon screen I can see the post that I ...Continue Reading

Dada Mail 3.0.1 is released after a good long bug-release cycle, where we squashed about 23 (reported) bugs. There's probably a bit more, but that's how it goes. You can grab it at: http://dadamailproject.com/download/ Also, the fundraiser idea I've been asking for ideas on is up and running at: http://dadamailproject.com/fundraiser.html You can make a donation at: http://www.fundable.com/groupactions/groupaction.2008-11-24.5962353285 and you can even vote on which feature I should work on at: http:// ...Continue Reading
