Here is an entry for the DadaMail Knowledge Base: Today I entered an email address into the list view screen and verified it. It correctly told me it already existed. Then I pasted in 120 addresses and tried to verify them against my list, but got a "Server 500" error, something about not having access rights to the /.dada_files/.tmp/ directory. After this, I couldn't verify even single addresses. When I checked, some of the write and execute properties on the /.tmp/ directory were missing. The sol ...Continue Reading

Is there a way to send an email to multiple lists such that people who are members of both lists only get one email? Basically, I'd like to either merge two lists into one, without creating a new list every time, or send to two lists without duplicates. Carl K ...Continue Reading

Yes, now I'm getting the same errors with sendmail, too. I have made no changes to the setup since sending on Sunday. THe 500 error happens after I hit the send button; I get the error and not the progress screen. Same for sending one test or the list msg. Same error if I go to the admin menu on the left and click on monitor my mailing. I did restart the vps a couple of times, in case I had a server issue. Perhaps something got corrupted. I dunno. Have been trying to go back to 2.10.16. I don't have time t ...Continue Reading

Thank you. I try not to be a crotchety old guy, but sometimes I have a lot of balls in the air and am always behind schedule so when I run into things I don't understand, I yell for help. Right behind stable on my wish list is super fast sending. I tried the $MASS_MAIL_SETTINGS = ">>/dev/null"; Then tried sending. Dada opened the progress window, but, of course, nothing was being sent so I have no idea what the speed rate is. Sorry, but that's above my pay grade. I didn't know where else to lo ...Continue Reading

FYI- It is S-L-O-W! It's sending at the rate of under 1800 per hour. With 18,000 to send it will take over ten hours. This is not workable. I cannot send a second msg in the same day. I just checked my archives and back in Aprll, I sent 19, 600 in 58 mins total (vers 2.x, which was typical at that time). Sending rates have been decreasing since then, with the largest drop on this edition. I called Westhost support and was told that they have not made any changes to the mail servers. Further, they said tha ...Continue Reading

Hi Gerry, Since only one list is sent at a time, the "monitor your mailings" = 0/5 probably means that one stopped list is holding up the others. Don't bother testing with 3.0.0. Justin has just released 3.0.1 which made many changes to the sending process. Several of us were having issues that were fixed in 3.0.1. After posting this I went to the support forum and noticed others were having a similar problem since I also am on goDaddy. Though with 2.10.11b I dont have any issues, its just with 3.0.0 (I said 3.0.1 earlier which is incorrect). Before installing 3.0.0 I backed up and and have since reverted to the old version, so I can get mail out. I'll play with 3.0.0 when I have time after the holidays. or use it on a test list Gerry ----- Original Message ----- *From:* Gerry Campos *To:* Dada Mail ...Continue Reading
