Adding a List Information Cookie

December 8th 2008 UTC

Hi,I'd like DaDa to store the name of the list being edited in a cookie so FCK can use that for user-specific file upload directories, templates, etc. I'm comfortable with PHP but It's been a long time since I've done any Perl coding, and it was pretty basic then. Any pointers on the most elegant way to extend DaDa to include a new cookie would be most welcome thanks. --CheersKenskype: thekenshowDon't worry, it will. - Picasso, on being told that his portrait of Gertrude Stein didn't resemble her Post: ...Continue Reading

Re: Verify Changed Permissions

December 5th 2008 UTC

Justin - This is what I did - I manually typed in an email address in the "Paste Addresses Below" box and clicked "Verify Subscribers." It told me it already existed. To get back to the previous screen, I *think* I clicked on the "Add" menu option again. I know I did not click the "Re-Enter Email List" button. Then I pasted in a bunch of addresses and the error came up when I tried to verify. However, I have since tried to re-create the error for you, but alas, everyt ...Continue Reading

Re: Sending to Multiple Lists

December 5th 2008 UTC

I have a dozen lists and people are usually members of several of them so there is a lot of overlap. I often need to contact several groups that share some commonality, so the ability to send to multiple lists without duplicates would be a feature I would use. In the meantime, I will use a new subscriber field to flag those that are duplicates and omit them when sending by using the "Partial Sending Options". However, my flag subscriber field shows up on the subscription form. Is there a way to make ...Continue Reading

Verify Address From File Bug

December 4th 2008 UTC

When adding addresses to a list from a file, if the file name contains a single quote, e.g. Carl's List.csv, you get the following error. Solution: Remove single quotes (maybe some other special characters, too) from file name. Program Error (Server Error 500) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- More information about this error may be available in the server error log and/or program error log. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- ...Continue Reading

Verify Changed Permissions

December 4th 2008 UTC

Here is an entry for the DadaMail Knowledge Base: Today I entered an email address into the list view screen and verified it. It correctly told me it already existed. Then I pasted in 120 addresses and tried to verify them against my list, but got a "Server 500" error, something about not having access rights to the /.dada_files/.tmp/ directory. After this, I couldn't verify even single addresses. When I checked, some of the write and execute properties on the /.tmp/ directory were missing. The sol ...Continue Reading

Sending to Multiple Lists

December 4th 2008 UTC

Is there a way to send an email to multiple lists such that people who are members of both lists only get one email? Basically, I'd like to either merge two lists into one, without creating a new list every time, or send to two lists without duplicates. Carl K ...Continue Reading
