I'll certainly test the new version as a separate install from 3.0.1. But I keep coming back to my main question which is "is there any code I can sneak into 3.0.1 to default a new list to an existing list?" It seems there was a simple, 15-line solution for the previous release (2.x) and one for 3.1 - but is there something we can add (unofficially, of course) to 3.0.1? The changes are based on the 3.1 MAIN CVS branch, which is quite different from the 3.0.1 bugfix branch the current, stable version of Dada Mail is based on. You can *probably* install right over 3.0.1 - but it's a different beast, is in development, is NOT stable, has bugs, is a work in progress, etc, I'm not putting any new features (officially) into ...Continue Reading

Justin - I was able to download the code from github.com, but I had to use the Firefox browser. The Microsoft Internet Explorer wouldn't do anything when the download button was clicked. Not the first time MSIE doesn't play well with others. Can this be installed over Dada Pro, or do you need to provide a separate link for that? The changes are for a pretty old version of Dada Mail - the API has changed enough where you wouldn't be able to apply them to anything made in the 3.x series... But! But, I took a little time and made it a feature in the dev version of Dada Mail, and (I *think*) through the power of Git, you can grab it from the download link at: http://github.com/justingit/ ...Continue Reading

Hi Justin, Git looks really very promising indeed, specially because I always make a lot off small changes to dada to suit my needs. And this will be much easier with Git I suppose. Besides, others can benefit from my changes as well. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Justin J" To: "Dada Mail Developers Subscriber" Sent: Thursday, December 11, 2008 7:55 AM Subject: [dadadev] Repository Updates - We're moving to Git > > Currently, Dada Mail is using CVS as the repo. Hi Has anyone else seen a strange error we are getting in our install of 3.0 where it occasionally throws the error "Problems Restarting!: can't open pause: No such file or directory at /DADA/Mail/Send.pm line 942" and then on next refresh it seems to fix itself. Justin - screen grab of the error here and seems to be fine with it, just thought it might be helpful to report. http://www.skywire.org/DadaError.jpg Alex Skywire | www.skywire.co.uk | alex@PROTECTED ...Continue Reading

As a new user, I wasn't clear on how the fundraiser related to the Pro version I bought. I saw the link but it didn't seem to be for me, so I didn't investigate. It might be helpful to use display a box with a short description or example of how the fundraiser works and what it's for. I just made pledged, so I'm over that conceptual hurdle now ;-) On 10-Dec-08, at 8:06 PM, Justin J wrote:Here's the Fundable page for the Dada Mail Fundraiser: http://www.fundable.com/groupactions/groupaction.2008-11-24.5962353285Wit ...Continue Reading
