Re: Subscriber Profile Feature update #2 (or so)

March 2nd 2009 PST

I also forgot to mention that the subscription forms in Dada Mail are now, "smart" enough to know that if you're logged in and if you are, it'll fill out your email address for you and not show you the subscriber fields (so you don't have to feel the need to fill those out, yet again). It's quite a nice little touch, ...Continue Reading

Subscriber Profile Feature update #2 (or so)

March 2nd 2009 PST

Hello everyone, I just pushed into git some really nice changes: * That, "One Outstanding Issue", that I wrote about last time has been figured out rather eloquently, so that show stopper is gone * I've implemented the feature of having the public archives only viewable if you're a subscriber to a list! Yay! * I've also implemented the idea of skipping the confirmation process if you already have a registered profile in Dada Mail! That should make subscriptions a little less annoying to make in mu ...Continue Reading

Subscriber Profile Feature update

February 26th 2009 PST

Hello Everyone, Sorry for being so tight-lipped about the Subscriber Profile Feature - I thought I'd give a little update: * As I should have guessed, getting the code that has to deal with the subscriber fields all straightened out took a Long Time, but I really do think it's worth it, if not just for maintainability. It's simple, easy code. * The session stuff - registering a profile, activating the profile, logging in, out, reseting a password was pretty easy and is mostly fleshed out * I'm still wor ...Continue Reading

Sure - the easiest thing may be to just copy the HTML for that you see on the default screen of your Dada Mail, which uses a drop down menu to do just that, ...Continue Reading

Choice of list to which to subscribe?

February 9th 2009 PST

The subscription form html sample in Dada Admin is for the specific list to which I am logged in. Is there a way to create a subscription/unsubscribe form that contains a drop down menu so a user can subscribe/unsubscribe to any of the lists if there are multiples? ...Continue Reading

Yeah, that's annoying, I don't quite know what to do about that, since perhaps you're sending a test message to test the clickthrough links and when they're clicke ...Continue Reading

Ken - what a great work around.  It's even better than what was asked for.  The advantage to your solution is that you don't need to re-enter the test email addresses each time.  Thanks for the tip.  I will be using it.  Just remember to prefix the subscriber field with an "_" so it doesn't become public.   Carl K ----- Original Message ----- *From:* Ken Dow *To:* Dada Mail Developers Subscriber *Sent:* Thursday, January 22, 2009 4:41 PM *Subject:* [dadadev] ...Continue Reading

Re: Clickthrough tracker showing test emails

I'm not Justin, but here's what I do regarding this bit:Also (a sneaky feature requets if there ever was one...) is there any easy way to support having multiple email addresses in the Test Email field on the Send Email page, so that rather than having to submit 5 tests to all relevant parties, we can just put them in and do in one go?First, include a subscriber field called _purpose. Next, add all test accounts (various Web mail packages, Outlook, Mail, etc.) to the list with "test" in the _purpose field. Wh ...Continue Reading
