Hey everyone, The newest stable release of Dada Mail is out (3.0.3) and the newest unstable release is out (3.1.0 Alpha 1) 3.1.0 Alpha 1 has the subscriber-editable fields enabled. Here's a good intro to that: http://dadamailproject.com/support/documentation-dada-3_1_0-alpha_1/3.1_dada_profiles_overview.pod.html Both of these can be downloaded from: http://dadamailproject.com/download/ There's a whole lot more stuff I've been up to, but you can just read the announcement here: http://dadamailproject.com/ ...Continue Reading

I'm probably going to, "officially" release the 3.1 Alpha 1 release of Dada Mail (featuring the subscriber-editable fields) the same time I release the latest maintenance release of Dada Mail 3.0.x, but! You may grab it here, whenever you like: zip: http://github.com/justingit/dada-mail/zipball/feature-subscriber_editable_fields tar.gz http://github.com/justingit/dada-mail/tarball/feature-subscriber_editable_fields I've put the docs for it online: http://dadamailproject.com/support/documentation-d ...Continue Reading

Hello Everyone, I'm just about set to release a version of Dada Mail with the new Profiles feature enabled - I already have it running up at: http://dadamailproject.com/cgi-bin/dada/mail.cgi You'll see a link at the top of the page that says, [Register/Log In] And that's what you'll want to click. No one has a profile, yet, so you'll need to register, and follow the authorization link in the email that's sent to you, but after that, you'll be able to log into your profile. Since I don't use Subscriber Fi ...Continue Reading

I also forgot to mention that the subscription forms in Dada Mail are now, "smart" enough to know that if you're logged in and if you are, it'll fill out your email address for you and not show you the subscriber fields (so you don't have to feel the need to fill those out, yet again). It's quite a nice little touch, ...Continue Reading

Hello everyone, I just pushed into git some really nice changes: * That, "One Outstanding Issue", that I wrote about last time has been figured out rather eloquently, so that show stopper is gone * I've implemented the feature of having the public archives only viewable if you're a subscriber to a list! Yay! * I've also implemented the idea of skipping the confirmation process if you already have a registered profile in Dada Mail! That should make subscriptions a little less annoying to make in mu ...Continue Reading

Hello Everyone, Sorry for being so tight-lipped about the Subscriber Profile Feature - I thought I'd give a little update: * As I should have guessed, getting the code that has to deal with the subscriber fields all straightened out took a Long Time, but I really do think it's worth it, if not just for maintainability. It's simple, easy code. * The session stuff - registering a profile, activating the profile, logging in, out, reseting a password was pretty easy and is mostly fleshed out * I'm still wor ...Continue Reading
