In pursuing this task, I could use some feedback as the forums and documentation seem to be lacking this information. Primarily this would lead to removing the moderation task from Authorized Senders as in the current mod. Currently, there seem to be these "list_type" users: list_owner (implied), list (subscriber), authorized_senders, and testers (???), (not including the white/black/confirm/invite pseudo-types). It appears I'll be adding "moderators" (actually a holdover from a previous version ...Continue Reading

OK, I think I'm "git"ing it :) I believe I've (finally) successfully "forked" dada-mail on github http://github.com/dleffler/dada-mail/tree/feature-subscriber_editable_fields and I'm guessing I should work with the "feature-subscriber editable fields" branch? I've also cloned my fork to my (Vista) computer using TortoiseGit. I'm learning git, and am pretty sure I can easily push and pull from my fork, but not sure the best route to get my changes to you. Also based on my git reading ...Continue Reading

I'm running Dada Mail 3.0.3. When I run Parse Bounces, at the end of the script output, I'm getting the following: Software error: Can't use string ("30277568") as a HASH ref while "strict refs" in use at ..//DADA/Template/Widgets.pm line 1274. The string varies. The script displays bounce handling correctly. But - an "Unsubscribe" notification is only sent to the list owner for one bounced address, even if there are more than one address that should be unsubscribed. Also, sometimes ...Continue Reading

OK - noted. If you're 're interested, we should really get you a branch/fork on github, so that coordinating all the diffs is easier. The branch I'm currently working on is taking forever to finish and is going to cause conflicts if you try to use the master ...Continue Reading

These mods are probably more of a kludge or a quick "proof-of-concept," rather than a refined solution applicable to universal application; at least at this point. I'm experimenting with coding the following mods (primarily to the dada_bridge plugin) and value any feedback, especially on the concept/design... - Adding the "digest" feature using another category of subscribers (list, authorized_sender, digest, moderator) -- Probably will get a backend working (dada_bridge) well before any front-end ...Continue Reading

Great. I've applied that. There are some issues, though: It looks like, if a subscriber is also an authorized sender, and sends a message out, they'll also receive a message asking to moderate themselves. That might not be wanted, as it's a way to sort of, you know, circ ...Continue Reading
