Re: Progress on Multi-List Sending

That sounds great. I definitely have use for it. This is probably too far out there, but something I've thought about more than a few times so I'm going to put it on the table. I was thinking that I'd like for there to be just one common admin login screen encompassing all the lists and then a drop down menu to select which list to work on within this overall admin section. Many of the common settings would only have to be set once in the overall admin section with specific list settings set when that l ...Continue Reading

Progress on Multi-List Sending

July 26th 2009 PDT

I just wanted to give a little status update on the, "Multiple Mailing List Sending" feature I've been working on: I'm happy to say it's working out great! and is mostly fleshed out: * You'll be able to pick as many lists as you'd like to send out. * The, "Partial List Sending" preferences will work nicely with this as well, so you can send a message to part of multiple lists * The preview for, "Partial List Sending" will even list all the lists you're sending to. * I've solv ...Continue Reading

Date headers were maintained correctly through all mail hops. I guess being in New Zealand (UTC +12) is an 'edge case' for date handling. From Greenhithe test Thu Jul 23 20:40:47 2009Return-Path: <barry@PROTECTED>Authentication-Results: mta124.mail.ac4.yahoo.com  from=greenhithe.org.nz; ...Continue Reading

Incorrect time on email

July 23rd 2009 PDT

Here is something a little bit interesting. When I send a message to the list, the incorrect time is being picked up somewhere in the chain. This doesn't happen if I send a *test* message, only if I send it to the list. If you look at the headers of a sample message you might see that somewhere it is taking my time zone of UTC+12 (correct) and applying UTC-12 (incorrect)It looks like this is happening in the Dada cgi, as the other servers/services in the chain seem to have the correct timezone.I am using sendmail as t ...Continue Reading

New mini project: Re-addition of "Mail to multiple Lists" feature

July 22nd 2009 PDT

I've created a new branch in git: http://github.com/justingit/dada-mail/tree/mass_mail_to_many_lists Where I'm going to try to re-add the feature that allowed to to mail a mass mailing to multiple lists, at once. I may not be able to, easily, or at all. *Or* it may just be an easy SQL query and then adding support to the API and then to the UI. Either way: Wish me the best of luck! Just a friendly reminder: This was a commissioned feature to start off and the org. has kindly agreed to re-commission the lo ...Continue Reading
