Coffee is clutch. You speak truth. Headers of bounce messages are not saved (bounced messages are not saved). There is an option to forward bounced messages to the list owner in the plugin - does that work in lieu of using the forewarding scheme you have set up? Nah, because then they would all come to my inbox on my laptop mixed in with legitimate replies to the list owner, which I definitely don’t want. My setup has been working fine, so I’ll just stick with it. It doesn’t appear to be putting a strain on the ser ...Continue Reading

I assume it coincided with the mail server trying again after 7 days or someth ...Continue Reading

So I was wrong. This is not bounces from a new mailing, it’s new bounces from the original mailing where I set the list administration email incorrectly. Hopefully that did solve it. I’ll know tomorrow. On Aug 26, 2019, at 11:16 AM, Mary Ann Kelley maryann@PROTECTED [Dada Mail Developers] <dadadev@PROTECTED> wrote: From: maryann@PROTECTED I recently upgraded to 11.4 from 9.x. Hmm, OK, so you wrote this: I am monitoring the bounces emails by forwarding them to a different mailbox, and the emails I am getting at the list owner address are not going to the bounces email address where they can be parsed. Why would the bounce handler work correctly, and why wouldn't you be surprised to have sent all the bounced email messages to the list owner? Set the bounce email address as just a POP3 account - don't try to monitor it. Set the list admin to that same address. That's all you have to do. - ...Continue Reading

I recently upgraded to 11.4 from 9.x. I have the bounce handler installed and the address set to the correct bounce email. Prior to upgrading, the bounce handler was working as expected. When I upgraded, I had the List administration address set to an admin account, but after I received all the bounces at the list owner email from the mailing last week, I changed the list admin address to the bounces email thinking I had that setting wrong. I thought that would fix the issue.Today a mailing went out and I again got ...Continue Reading

Looking at this, the correct behavior in how this is written is to use the default file, rather than send plaintext-only:https://github.com/justingit/dada-mail/blob/8f6bdb2d7c6cdc8890b66f00297c14c3278626e0/dada/DADA/App/EmailThemes.pm#L200I referenced this in the issue, and changed the issue to a feature request.https://github.com/justingit/dada-mail/issues/839Part of my feels that "use default if missing" is the way to go, as then you can make an email theme that just has one - or a few files in it with the c ...Continue Reading

The, "what to do if there's a missing file" is also documented: https://dadamailproject.com/d/features-email_themes.pod.html#Creating-a-New-Email-Theme If you decide to go this route, one suggestion is to only copy over the email template files that you truly want to customize - there are a lot of files that make up an email theme! Dada Mail will happily fall back into using the default email template file, if it can't find that file in your own email theme. A customized email theme could potentially only have ...Continue Reading

Once the subscriber confirms, html emails are preferred for my purposes—it’s just the confirmation that I prefer to be text. I understand if you can’t separate them out, in which case I’ll just use a stripped down HTML version that imitates the look of the text version (which is what I am doing now).No data to offer since I delete the abuse report emails immediately so the confirmation link doesn’t accidentally get clicked. It could just be that I notice them more because the html version puts the logo front and center ...Continue Reading
