Hey Everyone, I just popped up Dada v4.2.0 on github: http://github.com/downloads/justingit/dada-mail/dada-4_2_0-beta1.tar.gz This is the first version of Dada Mail, um, ever that has been shipped with an actual installer, which could potentially mean you don't have to touch a singleconfig file, which is nice. I've attached a screen shot of the installer - it's deceptively simple on purpose and will only bother you, if it can't do something you want it to. There's instructions on how to use the new installer: ...Continue Reading

The installer is working fairly well, now - I'm starting to use it for my own installation services, as I thought that would be a great way to test the installer in a variety of situations. Still not ready for prime time, but I think the first 80% of the work is finished. Kind of fun to use. I'll post some screen shots or a webcast (even), when things start to stabilize. Again, you can checkout the installer branch at: http://github.com/justingit/dada-mail/tree/installer ...Continue Reading

I've started work on a bundled installer for Dada Mail. You can follow my work (or, join in!) using this branch: http://github.com/justingit/dada-mail/tree/installer The installer currently does not work, but I really will need help in debugging it when it starts doing what it says on the tin. Cheers, ...Continue Reading

I don't think, currently, there is anywhere to *really* set a reply-to address - you could try in the "%EMAIL_HEADERS" hash, which holds the default values of ALL the email headers, find this line: 'Reply-To' => undef, And just, add your own: 'Reply-To' => 'wherever@PROTECTED', This will affect all lists, on every em ...Continue Reading

HiA simple thing I know but where in the various configuraiton files do we place the reply to address. We have a situation where, despite many occasions where we have indicated that the receivers of the emails should not just click the reply to button (because they actually need to contact someone else) they continue to do so. I have set up a 'noreply' email address and automated message ready for loading into the Reply-To field. Many thanksBest regards--*/Martyn Davison/* Get a new e-mail account with Hotmail ...Continue Reading

Just to give everyone an update, I've been talking to the Postmark people: http://postmarkapp.com/ And they've been super supportive in Dada Mail receiving support for their services, even though they specifically say you can do, what we need to do: http://help.postmarkapp.com/faqs/delivery/bulk-email They'll allow it, as long as we're strict with some of the settings - most importantly, the working unsub link and all subscribers being confirmed in a closed-loop subscription process. I'm going to try to work ...Continue Reading
