New Config.pm docs

July 28th 2010 PST

Hello Everyone, I've gotten a few good bits of feedback on the new installer - I think it's going to help a lot of people. If you haven't tried it yourself, give it a shot - it's a ton easier to setup Dada Mail with - even for me. I've been starting to edit the documentation for the Config.pm file - and actually, all the documentation that refers to the, "Basic Installation" - I'm getting rid of this idea, since installing Dada Mail via the, "Basic Installation" isn't so basic and is actually a ...Continue Reading

Dada Mail 4.2.0 Beta 2 Released

July 26th 2010 PST

Hello Everyone, Beta 2 of v4.2.0 is out: http://github.com/downloads/justingit/dada-mail/dada-4_2_0-beta2.tar.gz I've done more work on the installer and added to its docs: http://dadamailproject.com/support/documentation-4_2_0-beta2/features-dada_mail_installer.pod.html I could really really really.... really use some help with this installer project - how it's working for everyone (*if* it's working), suggestions on how to improve it, etc. This is the time to speak up! Thanks! ...Continue Reading

Installer News - now with kind of an upgrader!

July 22nd 2010 PST

Heya everyone, I've been putting polish on the installer - it seems to be working pretty well for stuff - the last thing I think I'm going to do is allow you to *skip* parts of the configuration, if certain things are avaiable. For example, if you *already* have the SQL backend set up, the installer will happily use your already-existing SQL backend. Also, if you *already* have an advanced installation and you just point the installer to it, it'll use whatever you already have, and just try to make sure the Conf ...Continue Reading

Dada Mail 4.2.0 Beta 1 Released - Installer Included!

July 16th 2010 PST

Hey Everyone, I just popped up Dada v4.2.0 on github: http://github.com/downloads/justingit/dada-mail/dada-4_2_0-beta1.tar.gz This is the first version of Dada Mail, um, ever that has been shipped with an actual installer, which could potentially mean you don't have to touch a singleconfig file, which is nice. I've attached a screen shot of the installer - it's deceptively simple on purpose and will only bother you, if it can't do something you want it to. There's instructions on how to use the new installer: ...Continue Reading

Re: Installer for Dada Mail

July 9th 2010 PST

The installer is working fairly well, now - I'm starting to use it for my own installation services, as I thought that would be a great way to test the installer in a variety of situations. Still not ready for prime time, but I think the first 80% of the work is finished. Kind of fun to use. I'll post some screen shots or a webcast (even), when things start to stabilize. Again, you can checkout the installer branch at: http://github.com/justingit/dada-mail/tree/installer ...Continue Reading

Installer for Dada Mail

July 6th 2010 PST

I've started work on a bundled installer for Dada Mail. You can follow my work (or, join in!) using this branch: http://github.com/justingit/dada-mail/tree/installer The installer currently does not work, but I really will need help in debugging it when it starts doing what it says on the tin. Cheers, ...Continue Reading

Re: Where to enter the Reply to email address

HiMany thanks.  I did a search for the Reply-To information and saw the entry that you refer to.  I was just not sure that this was the place.  I will give it a whirl and see what happens. Many thanks again.Best regards--*/Martyn Davison/*> Date: Fri, 25 Jun 2010 15:11:14 -0400> From: justin@PROTECTED> To: martyndavison@PROTECTED> Subject: [dadadev] Re: Where to enter the Reply to email address> > > > On Jun 25, 2010, at 10:59 AM, Martyn Davison wrote:> > > > Hi> &g ...Continue Reading

I don't think, currently, there is anywhere to *really* set a reply-to address - you could try in the "%EMAIL_HEADERS" hash, which holds the default values of ALL the email headers, find this line: 'Reply-To' => undef, And just, add your own: 'Reply-To' => 'wherever@PROTECTED', This will affect all lists, on every em ...Continue Reading
