2011/10/19 Justin J <justin@PROTECTED> Hey everyone, I'm starting to do some work on the bounce handler. You can follow my work at: https://github.com/justingit/dada-mail/tree/features-bounce_handler_enhancements The first change I've made is to put the Scorecard in that first main screen, instead of having to press a button to see it, and also to changing the navigation to be AJAX calls, so you can quickly zoom through the scorecard, without a whole page refresh. It's nice. I'm also work ...Continue Reading

As per the bug Mary Ann opened up, https://github.com/justingit/dada-mail/issues/224 And the investigation that I did that, "It ain't all that hard ta do, now that I looked at what's goin' on" I've tweaked the Dada Mail for this list to not strip the Cc: and Bcc headers. On my test list, it seems as if things work just fine. Well, that's a relief. I'll leave this configuration as it is, to see if any problems pop up. One things that Dada Mail does not do, and I know things like Mailman do, is look and ...Continue Reading

Does Dada use IMAP to check the emails that are sent to the list address for Bridge? I'm having trouble with the server shutting down a script that is running on IMAP and it cuts off my db connections (which obviously affects Dada) and I can't figure out what is going on. Here is what they said: /If the mailing list is using IMAP connections, then these processes can stay open far longer than they really need to. As you are on a shared server environment, you are limited to only 25 concurrent processes. Persistent ...Continue Reading

Are you going to test this? Because if it works without sending to the CC address for every email sent to subscribers, that would be great. I have very small discussion lists (5-80 subscribers and very low volume; little chance of overwhelming the server) and want to enable more than one mailing at once. Before I completely muck up my installation, I thought I'd better check here first to be sure I am doing it correctly. In looking at the manual, it looks like I should just add a line to the .dada_config file like this: $MAILOUT_AT_ONCE_LIMIT = '2'; Is that correct? Does it matter where in .dada_config I insert it? Thanks. Warm regards, ...Continue Reading

I'm thinking of making the Soft Bounce Score, Hard Bounce Score and the Score Threshold (the score that needs to be hit before a bounced message is removed from the mailing list ) something that can be customized on a per-list basis, instead of it being a global (and impossible to set, without diving into the config file, which isn't something people seem to like to do) value. Good idea? YES! This would be a huge help. Being able to adjust this through the front end would be wonderful. Going one step further, I'd like ...Continue Reading
