getting too many copies

October 26th 2011 PDT

Hi. I recently set up a discussion list for my group. People are subscribing and it's going well except - everytime a message is sent to the group (whether it's me sending it or someone else), I get a copy for each person on the list. We currently have 45 members and I got 45 copies of the same email in my box. How do I make this stop? ...Continue Reading

Looking for additional work

October 24th 2011 PDT

Hello everyone, Sorry to be off-topic, but I just wanted to announce that I'm looking for additional work, other than Dada Mail (which is what mainly I employ myself with). I've put up a résumé over at: http://resume.justinsimoni.com/dev.html to summarize some of the skillz I have. Dada Mail is also a pretty darn good example of the type of thing I'm capable of doing. 3-6 months contracting/telecommuting work would be ideal, but I'm flexible. Gotta save up for that next crazy trip! :) Cheers, ...Continue Reading

Re: Bounce Handler Developments - Questions

October 20th 2011 PDT

That's brilliant.  That issue has bothered me for years as I watch my list size diminish. To solve this, I implemented the following algorithm:-when a mailing is send, the score of every subscriber is lowered with one point (but never lower than zero of course). When an email is bounced, the subscriber is getting its penalty+1. This way, when a subscriber has occasionally a full mail box (or cannot be reached because of a network problem), it will not get unsubscribed after a long period: as long as ...Continue Reading
