Re: Discussion List settings

HI Justin, May I suggest/request that for this setting, we be allowed to specify the exact text that gets used in the subject? Eg. if we don't want the actual list name to be used but some other word instead, or perhaps we don't want the list name surrounded by [square] brackets, but by {curly} or (regular) brackets instead, or whatever. I'd certainly like to be able to specify the text that gets prefixed to the Subject field myself. Due to reasons I won't bore you with, I'd prefer to use something other than the lis ...Continue Reading

Amazon SES additional Perl library configuration

March 8th 2012 UTC

As far as I can tell the Amazon SES integration in Dada 5 needs Perl modules Digest::SHA and LWP::Protocol which for our testing server I have to install locally, rather than to the root libraries. Can we append to the library include path using the local dada configuration file, or is the only option with this to add them to the use lib qw()array in mail.cgi (which means they get overwritten when I upgrade RC3 to RCFinal)? Also, these were helpful resources for me getting it configured which might by helpful to add as ...Continue Reading

Discussion List settings

March 5th 2012 UTC

Justin,Would it be possible to change the coding of the Discussion List plugin so that you can set up the mailings to be sent with the list name in the subject line even if it is announce-only? Currently the only way to enable the list name being appended to the subject line is to enable the discussion list option, which becomes a problem when people on a large list try to send emails to the list. I have moderation set up but it would be easier to reject emails from non-authorized senders (currently only possible if di ...Continue Reading
