All….thanks for helping on the special character's issue. I am having another issue while trying to migrate an old discussion forum. I have migrated just 5 huge emails (up to 600kbs) and I see the Internal Server Error while trying to look up Archives. Archives are neither working in the admin nor in the front-end. I checked the table dada_archives and it displays an overhead but the overhead disappears when I optimize the table, but the error doesn't seem to fix. Not sure if there are any special character ...Continue Reading

I want to set up password protected directories using the Dada plugin, so I created a test directory for the purpose. I notice that when I logout of the profile area, I am still logged in to the protected directory. Is there a fix for this? I was hoping to have the logout link on the pages in the protected area and allow people to logout when they are done. I have been unable to add subscribers or send messages from my lists for 2 days and am not getting any help from Dada Mail or Blue Host. Are you creating your templates in Dada or are you pasting them in from a Word Doc? If from Word, be aware that MS has its own way of handling chars like curly quotes, curly single quotes and many others. (a left double curly quote in MS speak is chr(147) and as an html entity is “ I had to write a php script to convert them on my web site)It's a PITA and hard to work around. Usually that happens when you make edits in a word processor then paste them into the program. Almost always apostrophes, quotes, dashes, and other characters are not properly encoded when sent through a mail script (this is not limited to DadaMail). If you are revising text in a word processor, try doing it directly in Dada or in a text editor instead. I am trying to edit the mail templates and for some reason all quotes, commas etc are getting converted to funny characters like âÂÂâÂÂ. This is really annoying me and I am worried this will make my client look unprofessional. Is there a way to avoid this? Thanks in advance. It's working again. I tried to download the manual last week but didn't say anything because I didn't think you had email access. I figured I would just wait until you got back. Thanks for fixing it!
