Usually that happens when you make edits in a word processor then paste them into the program. Almost always apostrophes, quotes, dashes, and other characters are not properly encoded when sent through a mail script (this is not limited to DadaMail). If you are revising text in a word processor, try doing it directly in Dada or in a text editor instead. I am trying to edit the mail templates and for some reason all quotes, commas etc are getting converted to funny characters like âÂÂâÂÂ. This is really annoying me and I am worried this will make my client look unprofessional. Is there a way to avoid this? Thanks in advance. It's working again. I tried to download the manual last week but didn't say anything because I didn't think you had email access. I figured I would just wait until you got back. Thanks for fixing it! I regularly get blocked by Yahoo and AOL. They don't like the volume of mail going through their servers. There are some blacklist sites (SORBS is one) that will test your domain against the various hosts' blacklists. It's a hassle getting them to remove it, but it can be done. It's more likely that it's your server being blocked than DadaMail. One of the downsides of hosting your own mailing list is keeping up with the ISPs that block your IP address. This is more of a problem if you are on a shared server than if you have a dedicated server, since you are really being judged by the reputation of every site on that server. If you don't have the bounce handler installed, you should. It will allow you to see which domains are bouncing and if there is a trend. Once you know that, you can look i ...Continue Reading

Hey all, Thanks again for the assistance on the last issue I had. Was wondering if anyone has had any experience/issues with att.net completely blocking emails from a DadaMail list? Receiver is saying that she doesn't get them at all (not even in spam filters). I'm also not getting any bouncebacks and I don't know if there is a log on activity like this built in. I haven't heard any other issues from other people. I know we are not blacklisted as that came up in my previous discussion regarding another issue. ( ...Continue Reading
