For some reason I didn't see this when I checked last night. These errors are strange. (I've replace the domain name with URL.) Why would Dada not be able to find the temp files to keep the mailing going?[Mon Oct 8 23:23:40 2012] scheduled_mailings.pl: The file, '.dada_files/.tmp/sendout-newsletter-list-20121008232339.00696526_at_URL/num_sending_to.txt'does not exist to poll. at ../DADA/Mail/MailOut.pm line 1775 [Mon Oct 8 23:23:40 2012] scheduled_mailings.pl: The file, '.dada_files/.tmp/sendout-newsletter-list-20121 ...Continue Reading

I have a case on a new install (the most recent one you did for me, Justin) where the confirmation email never arrived and the list owner didn't get a copy of an email that went out Monday am. I got a copy (I'm not list owner) and I am way down the list near the bottom of sign-ups, so I know at least part of the list got it. The mailing isn't showing in the mailing monitor as stalled so I am assuming that it sent to the full list, but can't confirm it. I checked the usage log and the error log and there is nothing ...Continue Reading

In the admin panel, there is a section on archiving. I have it set up in an iFrame on the center of this page on my site:http://inthecalendar.com/subscriptions/index.phpRyan Terpilowski wrote: Hi there,I am just starting to use Dada, and wondered if when you send an email out, will I be able to provide a link to where they can view it in a separate browser, so would Dada provide a kind of hotspot to store all of them, so you get an archive?RegardsRyan ------------------------------------------------ ...Continue Reading

Hi there Ryan,Here is a sample of what we mail with Dada — note that we put our own "link to website" version of the page on the top left. The Dada page looks nearly identical to this, though over the years we have learned the formatting techniques to get the pages to match (particularly with the text around the photos, which can change slightly).http://planetwaves.net/astrologynews/1823407010.html efFrom: Ryan Terpilowski <ryanterps@PROTECTED>Reply-To: Dada Mail Developers <dadadev@PROTECTED>D ...Continue Reading

Thanks, Frans. I'm not sure I'm up for anything with a steep learning curve right now (have to tackle a couple of major site redesigns and that takes a lot out of me) but I will check it out. Hi Mary Ann,I have translated the template files in Dutch. To get rid of this upgrade problem, I installed git on my PC being able to sync with Justin his repository. Every local change made in e.g. the template files can now be merged to newer versions. When git detects a conflict you can start a diff to find out how to solve it. This way it is relatively easy to keep up with new versions. Although I have to admit git is not that simple if you are not familiar with version control systems: it has quite a steep learni ...Continue Reading

You don't sound snarky, and it's your program so obviously you can do whatever you want with it. I just switched to a Mac this year and am still getting used to the change. I guess my biggest issue was that you said that saving the template files would be fine for versions but major upgrades would possibly break the templates. With multiple installs, it's hard to keep up with changing the templates multiple times for each install. I use DW in code view so it's a glorified text editor, but it's always been what I'v ...Continue Reading

Not to sound snarky, but I don't think I'd really like that idea. I've spent so much time getting them templates out of the Perl code, I'm not now going to put them in a database file.
