Re: v6.0.0 alpha 1 Released

November 12th 2012 PDT

I don't know Perl at all, but I'd be willing to contribute what I can financially for the continued development of the Scheduled Mailer. A few months ago Justin and I talked about developing an auto-responder as well, but then he got buried in working on this new release. I'm still willing to contribute to that (and Justin, I'm in a position to contribute a little more than we had originally discussed) and could see where the functionality of these two things might overlap. Re: v6.0.0 alpha 1 Released

November 12th 2012 PDT

If anyone who knows Perl can help, I'm sure Justin would appreciate that.  I don't use scheduled mailings anymore because my client who needed it went out of business but if my Perl skills were better (right now they're close to nonexistent) I would help out. Alternatively, maybe people who really want scheduled mailings could pool some money and pay Justin for the development time to upgrade it.  We are really lucky to have someone who spends so much time on this program allow us to use it for free and may ...Continue Reading

Here too. Scheduled Mailings is crucial to our use of the program. I'd really love to see it continue to be developed. Hi Justin, I'd like to test the v6 release. How long do you think it will be before Dada Pro is brought up to v6? Can an install be easily converted to Pro afterwards, or does it take a new install? v6.0.0 alpha 1 Released

November 9th 2012 PDT

Hello Everything, Finally! A dev. release of v6 of Dada Mail! Github says that there are: 353 changed files with 18,740 additions and 16,697 deletions. So. A lot's changed. I think the code is production-ready, but it's a little brash to release something like this, without some real world testing (*cough*) Here's the direct link to download: https://github.com/downloads/justingit/dada-mail/dada-6_0_0-alpha1.tar.gz uncompress_dada.cgi script, https://raw.github.com/justingit/dada-mail/v6_0_0-alpha1_2012_11_09/ ...Continue Reading

Hi Justin, I was not wanting to upgrade to the latest version of DadaMail just yet, but I need the KCFinder upload ability. If I need to run the installer, I guess I will bite the bullet and make the jump. Two questions: 1) Is it possible to install the newest version and test it out concurrently before committing my current installation? 2) What directories do I need to backup to preserve my current installation so no matter what I do, I can revert back to my current install? - just \cgi-bin\dada\, \fkceditor\, ...Continue Reading
