The Beatitude plugin should be safe through v6 of Dada Mail. It's just that it needs a rewrite, and if I was to do that now, we'd be waiting another month+ for me to get anything out, and I myself really can't wait much longer, until I put something new out there. I don't know Perl at all, but I'd be willing to contribute what I can financially for the continued development of the Scheduled Mailer. A few months ago Justin and I talked about developing an auto-responder as well, but then he got buried in working on this new release. If anyone who knows Perl can help, I'm sure Justin would appreciate that.  I don't use scheduled mailings anymore because my client who needed it went out of business but if my Perl skills were better (right now they're close to nonexistent) I would help out.
