You can try writing to a file, rather than mailing out a message, and seeing what comes through - I usually just put set the $M ...Continue Reading

When I insert a JPG picture into an email (I'm using the 6.0.2 default WYSIWYG editor) by the time it gets delivered, it has been changed to a BMP file that is 5 to 10 times larger than the original making the email much larger than it should be. I have tried it using several different OS and browsers and the result is the same. Anyone know what is making the conversion to BMP or how to prevent it? Carl ...Continue Reading

I'm a *little* confused at what you're trying to do, but it's pretty simple: * Say, I want to install Dada Mail - no *previous* install ...Continue Reading

Cousins, Critters, DadaistsI am looking for someone, actually potentially two people, to assist with a Word Press project. One would be a competent, fast assistant to help with basic tasks; the other would be a developer to help with some of the more complex tasks and to help with design questions. Please reply to me at this address. Many thanks and thanks Justin for posting this message. Are the following statements correct? To do a full install of Dada Mail, you clear both the /.dada_files/ folder and the /cgi-bin/dada/ folder of all files? To update Dada Mail, you leave the /.dada_files/ folder in place and clear the /cgi-bin/dada/ folder? To install a new plugin using the installer, you need to do a full install? Should def. be there, right in the installer, no changes like that have happened between v6.0.1 and v6.0.2. When I installed 6.0.1, I remember seeing a list of plugins that could be installed. I now want to add Dada Bridge but when I used 6.0.2 to upgrade, I don't recall seeing the list of plugins. I found some documentation online about installing it manually, but the file dada_bridge.pl doesn't exist in the plugins directory. What is the proper way to install Dada Bridge for setting up a discussion list? Carl ...Continue Reading

Justin, you correctly suspected the browser was the problem when editing a member's profile fields I was (sadly) using MS IE8 which is the latest version for Windows XP. On my XP machine, I just tried Firefox and Chrome and they work fine, but MS IE8 fails. I also tried MS IE9 on Windows 7 and it works fine. So the behavior seems to only fail when using MS IE8 which has apparently been abandoned by Microsoft, but it is still the most used browser. 63% of hits on my website are MS IE.
