Of course, you are right. The subscriber fields are shared. I forgot. The "Update for all Mailing Lists" checkbox is for the email address only. I have two lists, one for parents, one for youth. Some families use a single email address for all family members so I was trying to have the parent list first name be the parent's name and in the youth list use the child's first name. But since the email address is the same in both lists, there can only be one first name. Not a big issue. Carl K. ----- Origi ...Continue Reading

In 6.0.2 Membership/View when you change a subscriber field, it automatically updates the fields in all mailing lists, even when "Update for all Mailing Lists" is NOT checked. I want to have my subscriber fields specific to each list, but I can't. Carl K. ...Continue Reading

I'm going to release v6.2.0 of Dada Mail fairly soon - here's the draft of what this new release will entail - it's a followup to some of the things I noticed with the 6.1.0 release: In v6.2.0 of Dada Mail, we've made some more strides in making the subscription confirmation system in Dada Mail as secure as possible, without adding any unneeded complications. The new enhancements made in v6.1.0 seem to be working great - I'm actually surprised that the move to this entirely new system went as smoothly as it did. In ...Continue Reading

I wish I could offer something more helpful. You are welcome to login to my install (homeschoolnewsletters.com) and use a test list to try to send out a copy of the exact newsletter I sent. I'll send you the source code privately if you want to try that. When I changed it from double quotes it fixed the line break in some cases, but it broke the link tracking. Even without link tracking it still happened in some cases. I run Tracker by default so I assumed that was the problem, but it must be an issue with Dada in general.____________________ ...Continue Reading

Hmmm... I looked back and found that conversation in 2009 in the archives, but I don't think it's the problem with the footer is the same issue (although I do think you are right that it's the quoted-printable format). The footer line breaks was more that plain text understands what line breaks mean and HTML doesn't because the breaks have to be coded in the HTML. That wikipedia page tells me why I get random equal signs in the source code of some emails I am trying to copy. For some reason my Mac mail won't allo ...Continue Reading

I wonder if this has something to do with Dada's Quoted-Printable formatting. For a while, certain links in the message footer were broken in a similar fashion (I can't seem to find the old email that described the issue though).
