This is just a followup on this issue: I haven't been able to recreate issue #1: encoded line feeds being put into the URL, like this: http://www.th%0Aehomeschoolmom.com ("%0A" is that encoded linefeed) But, there is a small fix in v6.2.0 so that URL's that are written in the HTML code *with* a newline/linefeed, like this: Click Here! (for whatever reason - hard wrap?), they don't then get turned into redirect links that look like this: Which are then *not* turned into an actual tracked link. The parse ...Continue Reading

If you want, please post it to a URL somewhere, instead of sending it out to the list, since we may experience the same problems on the list messages, as you do in your archives. Also, can you describe how you've set up your Dada Mail? MySQL backend, or something different? An if it's a SQL backend, the version, > My solution is after ever ...Continue Reading

Does anyone have trouble with specials characters like me ? In archive view a message blurb is generated, but not special characters. But in german language these special charcters are not special. The better word is important like any other character! My solution is after every update to fix the dada/DADA/App/guts.pm I comment out the lines 1114 and 1115 1113 # And, uh, what do these do, again? 1114 #$message_body =~ s/\&\#\d\d\d\;//g; 1115 #$message_body =~ s/\&\#\d\d\d\d\;//g; Thanks for hints. v6.2.0 has been released, with that new feature to detect if the sub/unsub request and the confirmation the request comes from a different IP address (which seems to be tied to automated link fetching) and if so, simply show a screen with a form to complete the request, rather than having this happen just by clicking on the link. This should help with infinite loops of unsub/sub'ing that's annoying some list owners with some subscribers. We'll see: Download: http://code.google.com/p/dadamail/downloads/detail?name=d ...Continue Reading

Of course, you are right. The subscriber fields are shared. I forgot. The "Update for all Mailing Lists" checkbox is for the email address only. I have two lists, one for parents, one for youth. Some families use a single email address for all family members so I was trying to have the parent list first name be the parent's name and in the youth list use the child's first name. But since the email address is the same in both lists, there can only be one first name. Not a big issue. Carl K. ----- Origi ...Continue Reading

In 6.0.2 Membership/View when you change a subscriber field, it automatically updates the fields in all mailing lists, even when "Update for all Mailing Lists" is NOT checked. I want to have my subscriber fields specific to each list, but I can't. Carl K. ...Continue Reading

I'm going to release v6.2.0 of Dada Mail fairly soon - here's the draft of what this new release will entail - it's a followup to some of the things I noticed with the 6.1.0 release: In v6.2.0 of Dada Mail, we've made some more strides in making the subscription confirmation system in Dada Mail as secure as possible, without adding any unneeded complications. The new enhancements made in v6.1.0 seem to be working great - I'm actually surprised that the move to this entirely new system went as smoothly as it did. In ...Continue Reading
