still having mailing monitor issues

March 27th 2013 UTC

So I switched the cron job to the mailing monitor plugin instead of the autopickup script, and I still have things getting stuck. The cron runs every 15 minutes but I just logged in and a mailing has been stuck for 2 hours with 3 in the queue behind it (this is for Bridge). I am at a loss. Here is the cron command:/usr/bin/curl -s --get --data run=1\;passcode=\;verbose=0 --url http://domainname.com/cgi-bin/dada/plugins/mailing_monitor.cgi I just took off the dev null so I'll get reports, but so far nothing (and it ha ...Continue Reading

Re: Pipe to program

March 27th 2013 UTC

Okay, that makes sense. The lists were already set up and the email addresses already existed when I changed it to Pipe to Program. I didn't delete the email addresses when I did that, just set up the forwards. So I guess I just need to delete the email addresses. I've only ever used forward for email addresses that actually exist, so I didn't realize that the forward would still work if I delete the address. I'm using cPanel and the manual was perfect for walking me through it, I just didn't realize I should delete th ...Continue Reading

how VREP return emails are received

March 27th 2013 UTC

Hi Justin,May I ask a question about VREP sending, how the return emails are recieved? for example, bounce email address is bounce@PROTECTED, accepting email is sales@PROTECTED, so the VREP return path is bounce-sales=abc.com@PROTECTED, but on my server there is no such mail box as bounce-sales=abc.com@PROTECTED, so how to receive this return email? I know that some email provider have a function of an catch all email for a domain, all emails for *@xxx.com can be forwarded to, for example, admin@PROTECTED, but it is n ...Continue Reading

As somewhat an aside, an easy way to get around this, is to just create a new file with the, ".sh" file ending - say, "crons.sh" and list all the cronjobs for them in there (also put the shebang line, in there) - like this: #!/bin/sh /usr/bin/curl -s --get --data run=1\;passcode=\;verbose=0 --url http://ww ...Continue Reading
