Always for the same member eh?  Do regular email messages sent to addresses on the discussion list’s domain work from that yahoo user?   *From:* Mary Ann Kelley [mailto:maryann@PROTECTED] *Sent:* Saturday, July 13, 2013 1:25 PM*To:* Dada Mail Developers*Subject:* [dadadev] Re: weird Bridge bounces One other thing - it's always for the same member.  Which I would agree with IF I was getting bounce messages specific to the ISP that might have that mail server blacklisted, but I'm not. And the messages don't say the server is blacklisted, they say that mail from Yahoo.com is banned.  Mary Ann*/[[ AJ ]] My bad, I forgot that this is a discussion list an all discussion lists work that way.  And good point about the domain being banned and not the IP. /* Post: mailto:dadadev@PROTECTED Unsubscribe » ...Continue Reading

One other thing - it's always for the same member. Not random yahoo users - every single email from this one, but only this one,  Yahoo user generates the bounces. Until this week, when another member with a Yahoo address generated the same weirdly worded bounce messages. They are not the standard "your IP address is blacklisted" messages that Yahoo sends when it's a case of blacklisting. Wait a second..  At the very bottom of this email you have the From header.. It says:*From: *user1@PROTECTED*Subject: **[Stafford Royals Level 4] **Date: *April 11, 2013 8:41:45 PM EDT*To: *"Stafford Royals Level 4" *Reply-To: *"Stafford Royals Level 4"   So, does that mean that you are sending the email as user1@PROTECTED   and not from a general list address? It just does it that way. I don't see any settings in Dada Br ...Continue Reading

I requested removal from the blacklist so it may have already been processed. Plus they moved my site to a new server last night, just to make things a little more complicated. So yeah, between those two things it probably doesn't show as blacklisted anymore. I hate shared hosting, but this site is for a non-profit parent association for a sports team and there is no way a dedicated server is even remotely possible. I asked HG about a dedicated IP and they said exactly what you said - mail would still go through ...Continue Reading

FYI, I don't see staffordroyals.com currently on this Black list check, http://mxtoolbox.com/SuperTool.aspx?action=blacklist%3a50.87.144.152&run=toolpage The thing with shared hosting, which is sort of a bummer, is that many sites, use a small pool of mail servers, so when a service decides to blacklist one mail server because of an individual's actions, it affects a large group of people, who have done nothing wrong. Which sorta stinks, and is one argument against IP-based blacklisting. For anything under the Un ...Continue Reading

I see that it comes up for LashBack, but it's using the IP of the staffordroyals.com domain which isn't used to send mail since mail goes through the HostGator block of mail servers using a whole different set of IP addresses. And I have no idea why it would even be listed - we are a tiny site with internal discussion lists for our team only; we don't even allow the public to be on them much less access suppression lists for addresses.I'm so confused... :( Warm regards,Mary Ann On Jul 12, 2013, at 4:16 PM, matthew mit ...Continue Reading

Yeah, traffic around here is miserable. It's where the hubby's job is, though. The mail is from <somelist>@staffordroyals.com. I use the pipe to program option in Dada. It's not the occasional one-off exactly - what happens is that mail from address1@PROTECTED, address2@PROTECTED, and  a bunch of other yahoo addresses go through to everyone, including other yahoo users, just fine all the time. But one specific yahoo address *always* bounces to every single list member with that specific bounce message. I ...Continue Reading
