I requested removal from the blacklist so it may have already been processed. Plus they moved my site to a new server last night, just to make things a little more complicated. So yeah, between those two things it probably doesn't show as blacklisted anymore. I hate shared hosting, but this site is for a non-profit parent association for a sports team and there is no way a dedicated server is even remotely possible. I asked HG about a dedicated IP and they said exactly what you said - mail would still go through ...Continue Reading

FYI, I don't see staffordroyals.com currently on this Black list check, http://mxtoolbox.com/SuperTool.aspx?action=blacklist%3a50.87.144.152&run=toolpage The thing with shared hosting, which is sort of a bummer, is that many sites, use a small pool of mail servers, so when a service decides to blacklist one mail server because of an individual's actions, it affects a large group of people, who have done nothing wrong. Which sorta stinks, and is one argument against IP-based blacklisting. For anything under the Un ...Continue Reading

I see that it comes up for LashBack, but it's using the IP of the staffordroyals.com domain which isn't used to send mail since mail goes through the HostGator block of mail servers using a whole different set of IP addresses. And I have no idea why it would even be listed - we are a tiny site with internal discussion lists for our team only; we don't even allow the public to be on them much less access suppression lists for addresses.I'm so confused... :( Warm regards,Mary Ann On Jul 12, 2013, at 4:16 PM, matthew mit ...Continue Reading

Yeah, traffic around here is miserable. It's where the hubby's job is, though. The mail is from <somelist>@staffordroyals.com. I use the pipe to program option in Dada. It's not the occasional one-off exactly - what happens is that mail from address1@PROTECTED, address2@PROTECTED, and a bunch of other yahoo addresses go through to everyone, including other yahoo users, just fine all the time. But one specific yahoo address *always* bounces to every single list member with that specific bounce message. I ...Continue Reading

Stafford eh? Nice place, although the traffic on 95 can be a real pain. J Yep, you are right, the people at HostGator have no idea what they are talking about… You are not spoofing anything. Of course I am assuming the email the subscriber gets is from <somelist>@staffordroyals.com So you are basically saying that, normally, most of the list messages you send to yahoo addresses work with the occasional one-off? This time, however, they all bounced? Have you tried an RBL look up the IP o ...Continue Reading

I've been getting some weird bounces for bridge. Email from certain providers will bounce from every single user on the list. What's weird is that it is not all of the addresses using that domain - in the past it was just one yahoo address out of dozens but now it seems to be happening with more of them. At midnight after a mailing from an affected address, I get these bounces from every address on the list - same wording for every one. I checked with HostGator and they are no help whatsoever, although the b ...Continue Reading
