Yeah, and I noticed that not everyone actually uses the profiles. Perhaps it could be set up that when someone requests a password, THEN is checks to see if a profile exists and creates one if it doesn’t. Then, only people that want to log in will have an actual account to do so. -----Original Message----- From: Justin J [mailto:justin@PROTECTED] Sent: Tuesday, September 03, 2013 3:36 PM To: Dada Mail Developers Subject: [dadadev] Re: Dada Mail v6.6.0 Beta 1 Released > I had actually modeled it after Drupal. The profile was being crated with a random password and added to the profile log-in page something to the tune of "If you haven’t logged in before, click here to set your password." And the reset password process would begin. That's probably a better workflow than what's there, which is currently not very nice to the user, or the list owner. I'll make a note to change how things go - I think the reason it's not there now is a performance issue - when importin ...Continue Reading

> Pop it up on Github, You Git people. :) I suppose it is about time I moved from SVN to Git. I am just not as well versed on Git and am a tad uncomfortable. Should I do something wrong and some poor soul tries to use it and gets all messed up, I would feel quite bad. Although, I assume the branching and such is basically the same. > Yup, quite a bit. Probably CGI::Application to start, then over to Mojolicious. Mojolicious looks interesting. Morbo and Hypnotoad.. Futurama fans ya think? Back in the day I ...Continue Reading

I had actually modeled it after Drupal. The profile was being crated with a random password and added to the profile log-in page something to the tune of "If you haven’t logged in before, click here to set your password." And the reset password process would begin. The impetus for this came up when we migrated from phplist to your app. A few of the docs had tried to log in to update their info and were getting frustrated when they couldn’t . And my partner started asking what was going on. Thanks for ...Continue Reading

Justin, Not sure if anyone is interested but I added two additional partial list sending criteria that should work with all the supported database backends. I added ‘Date Greater Than’ and ‘Date Less Than’. The caveat is that, in order to do date based partial sending, the date has to have the format ‘YYYY-MM-DD’ in the search criteria and in the database. Also, if you haven’t already, I found that Activestate’s Komodo IDE has a pretty decent visual step through debugger for perl that allow ...Continue Reading

I have a question about the profiles. In the older version we are using, I added code that would create a profile for a user that was imported through the Invite/Add/Remove process. I have not looked, but are profiles created for those users now? The reason I ask is that previously, an imported subscriber would get an email with a link to their profile but could not log in because the account was technically not there. *From:* Dada Mail Developers [mailto:justin@PROTECTED] *Sent:* Friday, Au ...Continue Reading

Hello Everyone, I've added a very simple RESTful API to Dada Mail, allowing you to mimic a subscription form, without having to - you know, use the subscription form. This will hopefully be useful for people who want to add Dada Mail subscription capabilities to other types of workflows. For example, shopping cart checkout screens, with a, "check this box to subscribe to our mailing list!" With this API, you won't have to know much of anything about Dada Mail, and certainly nothing Perl - just pass a sim ...Continue Reading
