Nevermind. I figured out the problem, now I just need to remember how to fix it. I didn't use the default password because it only works if someone doesn't have a profile. I edited the code so that the plugin wrote the default password to the .htpasswd file for every user instead of anything they set up with their profile (so that everyone could use the default password regardless of whether they had a profile). I forgot I did that, the upgrade overwrote the custom code, and now I just have to remember where I changed ...Continue Reading

Since I upgraded to 6.8.1, the passwd file in .htpasswds is empty. I have the plugin installed and the directory is correctly set in the dashboard to be protected (redirection is happening correctly when the login fails), but the list is not being written to the file.Any ideas? Trying to restart it by pausing then resuming didn't work -- there would be a server error message shown. I dug into things on the server side via a terminal session and found out the problem was a permission problem. When the folder with all the mailing details was created in the .dada/.tmp directory, it was created by the root user with only root hav ...Continue Reading

And now there is a bigger problem. The whole install is broken. I stopped the mailing and started a new one - same thing. I even upgraded to the latest version of Dada. Same problem still exists. I have no idea what to do. Justin, are you there? I'm sending you a message offlist. Any other suggestions are welcome, because I'm completely at a loss. Yeah, I did that. It's a dedicated server. I logged into the cpanel for the account where dada is installed and changed the permissions on the .tmp folder, the folder inside .tmp holding the mailing data, and all the files in the folder holding the mailing data. Still nothing. :( Untitled Document Warm regards, Mary Ann On Mar 10, 2014, at 10:59 AM, Bruce Harper wrote:I don't know how things work on a hosted server as far as which account you log in as, but check the permissions either way. I've tried pausing it and restarting it but it's still stuck in the same place (it doesn't show that it needs to be picked up, but it's continually showing the same number on reload). Is there a way to force it to restart without killing it and starting from scratch again? I don't want duplicates to go out if at all possible.
