Hello everyone, v7 0 0 Beta 2 has landed - Download and Install:

http://dadamailproject
com/support/documentation-7_0_0-beta2/install_dada_mail
pod
html

along with a PDF version of the Dada Mail Manual - the manual can now be viewed online, as well as downloaded as a PDF book, rather than a collection of HTML files, which should help make it a lot more usable - hurray! PDF is available in the Pro Dada/Manual area:

Things still need spit and polish, but it's looking, good! Your upgrades from v6 x to v7 x will be relatively painless, as the SQL schema changes are minor and should be done automatically for you:

Thanks for all the feedback on the Beta 1 release - I fixed some pretty glaring problems - a list of the diffs between versions is here:

Changes between Beta 1 and Beta 2

  • Unsubscription Link is no longer looked for, and placed in mass mailing messages, if you're running a Private List

  • Unsubscribers from mass mailing are now (again) logged

  • The time between batches is checked to make sure it's at least a second If it's not, all sorts of things fail

  • The, "Not Allowed to Post" (admin) email message wasn't sent correctly, but rather the message destined for the original sender was sent instead

  • Old-Style Template tags using square brackets has been totally dropped Use HTML::Template valid tags instead

  • List Settings code has been optimized, to NOT retrieve HTML and email messages saved in outside files, if they aren't needed

  • The Log Viewer plugin now can show the mbox files created by the Bridge plugin This file holds the messages received from the List Email account/alias

  • Bounces, particularily from Amazon SES would not get email addresses parsed out correctly, leaving the phrase with the email address - this should be fixed

  • Importing a file with spaces in the name was failing [fixed]

  • mass update of profile fields, after an advanced search was using the search paramaters in a, OR operator mode, rather than AND - meaning that any search terms found (rather than all search term needed to be found) would have the profile updated [fixed]

  • csv export in the Membership >> View was not working on basic search results [fixed]

  • purging archives would not reflect changes on administration screen - cache was never removed [fixed]

  • a blank HTML version of an archived messages, witha PlainText message will show the HTML version in archives [fixed]
