I just tried to send a DadaMail email with an attached file, but when attaching the file, it tells me that "You are using PHP 5 2 17 when KCFinder require at least version 5 3 0!" and it won't let me attach a file I am on Bluehost and they offer several PHP flavors: PHP 5 4, PHP 5 4 (Single php ini) and PHP 5 4 (FastCGI) They also have PHP 5 6 beta versions
This is specifically the included File Manager Dada Mail is shipped with, called, "KCFinder", which has a backed written in PHP If you are truly running a newer version that what it thinks, perhaps there's a bug? Here's the relevant line in KCFinder - I'm sadly not as adept in PHP to know if this is correct, or not:
// PHP VERSION CHECK if (!preg_match('/^(\d+ \d+)/', PHP_VERSION, $ver) || ($ver[1] < 5 3)) die("You are using PHP " PHP_VERSION " when KCFinder require at least version 5 3 0! Some systems has an option to change the active PHP version Please refer to your hosting provider or upgrade your PHP distribution ");
Dada Mail ships with another File Manager that actually probably works better, called Core 5 File Manager You can pick this File Manager, rather than KCFinder during installation using the installer To reconfigure,

The Core 5 File Manager can be selected under, "Install and Configure WYSIWYG Editors"
What is the recommended PHP version for Pro Dada version 9 0 0 RC 1? Is there any concern that upgrading PHP will break anything else on my site?
The concern is that something else on your site my be using PHP I can't comment on the best ver for any other app would be
