Dada Mail does come with a pretty large collection of Perl CPAN Modules, but the modules Dada Mail ships with are written only in Perl, as opposed to something that has to be compiled (called XS, in Perl) That means there's no issue with binary compatibility between the new Perl interpreter, and old modules compiled for an older version of Perl - the ABI doesn't change Perl is also pretty intense when it comes to backwards compatibility, so features don't get deprecated all too often
So, the problem may be something else,
