Yeah - you just described the opening and signature marks/comments
I had no idea the and tags could be moved around as much as I now have them! The archive summary now looks a lot more interesting Thanks
I don't know about others, but my newsletter usually has 4 or 5 topic headings What it now shows is the first few lines of the body of the newsletter - a lot better than I had it!
What would be really useful (and more aesthetically pleasing) would be a way for the archive summary page to display something like this - a sort of table of contents:
My Newsletter (already there) Sent [September ,,,] (already there) Topic 1 (with line a line break) Topic 2 (ditto) Topic 3 (ditto)
My Newsletter Sent [August ] Topic 1 Topic 2 Topic 3 Topic 4
I suppose it could be done programmatically (by tagging the topic heading), although I'd be happy enough if there was some way to do it manually (maybe with a text area for this purpose on the Mass Mailing >> Send a Message page, but if that creates too much clutter then maybe on the Message Archives >> Advanced Options page) Just a thought

I could do without the text beign displayed It's the usual stuff at the top of the newsletter "if the newsletter doesn't render properly in your browser etc " and, by its nature , it's always the same It doesn't add anything helpful to a visitor arriving at the public archive page
Would it be possible, under Message Archives | Advanced Options | Archive Organization to add a check box that would regulate whether the first few lines of text at the top of the newsletter are displayed on the public archive page?
Yeah - you just described the opening and signature marks/comments So for example, in an HTML message, you'd put all that, "if the newsletter doesn't render properly in your browser" text between the opening comments:
if the newsletter doesn't render properly in your browserThen, just check,
