Re: Added additional partial list sending criteria

Not sure if anyone is interested but I added two additional partial list sending criteria that should work with all the supported database backends I added ‘Date Greater Than’ and ‘Date Less Than’ The caveat is that, in order to do date based partial sending, the date has to have the format ‘YYYY-MM-DD’ in the search criteria and in the database

Pop it up on Github,

One more thing, have you considered moving to an MVC kind of approach to coding the app? It would make adding functionality and debugging a little more straight forward Base methods found in the modules can be split out and encoded for your protection, and, as the mail cgi gets larger, its memory footprint gets larger

Yup, quite a bit Probably CGI::Application to start, then over to Mojolicious

What's keeping me is the investment in time - it's going to be a lot of work

Another problem is that many hosting platforms that Dada Mail is used on only have Perl v5 8 1 - maaaaybe 5 10 x available Mojolicious would need something a lot more recent, unless I go through some flaming hoops CGI::Application would not, but would still give me a little bit more of a framework to… work with, while making the transition a little easier, once I move to CGI::App - I've also got quite a bit of experience working with it, so it's not going back to square one again

My primary interest in moving to either of these would be PSGI[0] support (think WSGI support in Python), allowing me to move away from CGI, but allowing people to run Dada Mail as a CGI script on Apache, if they still wanted to - and a lot of people will still want to - or rather, they won't want to figure out how to set up all the Plack stuff Other's will and that's great, but it won't be my main audience for a long time (ever?) Maybe this is where all those Installer Services will come in handy
