Re: Big Feature Time: a show of hands on which way to go

This is for a sports team and it's private. There are multiple lists for various purposes, and when I have to remove or add someone to/from multiple lists (a family joins or an employee quits, for example), I have to switch between all of the lists to be sure I got them all.

That said, while I would be interested in the feature you mention, I really don't know anything about using amazon and how difficult it is to implement and maintain. As a non-profit booster club, we can't afford any added expense (see, I don't even know anything about costs and whether it would be free for our situation). I do remember looking at it for my bigger lists for my business site but it wasn't feasible because of the sending limits they set until you build up a trustworthy reputation with them.

If you end up making that the next big feature, and if I have time I'll look at it. In all likelihood I'll probably just content myself with the unsupported plugin and if it ever becomes incompatible I'll go back to what I've been doing - just flipping through every list to make the changes.
Warm regards,

Mary Ann

BIG ASIDE:
If the reply to that is, "Yeah, but what I want is to run a PRIVATE email list, that doesn't require the facilities of a PUBLIC mailing list (subscription verification/unsubscription requirement, so on and so forth) that's a whole new different feature I can work on, that a lot of people have begged for, and it could also be in the running for the NEXT Big Feature I work on. The crux on that is, how to keep people from abusing that (because, people will). The answer is going to be, you're going to have to use a third party email service that monitors such abuse (Amazon SES/Mailgun, etc), 'cause I ain't going to do that, for the love of it.
