It will be interesting to see how this changes open rates Nice work

Yeah, it'll be a good experiment

It seemed like Tracker opened they data very quickly for you in the video Do you think that will be the norm even for installs that have years of tracker data to sift through?

Well, THAT list does have years and years (8) of tracking data I'm hoping that rendering times will be faster, as I want to say there's less data being retrieved, but it won't be by much Still, it's a ton faster than it was This may be because of the switch from Scriptaculous to jQuery for all the Ajax stuff which actually works faster, as well as some of the effects - like the "fade in" of that data, which may fool us into making it seem that the data gets put in faster Not sure!

If anything, the data caching will make things speedier when using the Tracker - if you're anything like me, you're constantly clicking on things, and going back to the main screen, trying a different list, going back to the main screen, going to a different message, etc That sort of stuff should be much quicker

Oh! Another feature related to the Tracker I left off was the ability to convert PlainText messages to HTML messages for all mass mailings

This helps when you use the redirect tags for tracking links and clickthroughs:

Clickthrough links usually work fine for HTML messages, but for PlainText messages, you're left with a obfuscated URL, which breaks basic web semantics, etc Converting PlainText messages to HTML will allow you to see the actual URL, but when clicked, the person will actually follow the redirect URL Other benefits include having the HTML Mailing List Message template applied, which can be used to fancy up an otherwise plain looking message, without the author having to know any HTML, or even knowing how to use any rich text editing abilities in their mail reader (example: you have Bridge set up for a client, that sends messages, plain text to their mailing list - those messages will be converted to HTML, and have the HTML Mailing List Message template applied)

This feature will be optional
