1) When I try to insert a picture into an email, I get an error message: "This file uploaded is disabled Please check the "editor\filemanager\connectors\php\config php file" I am using the fckeditor and I looked at it's config php and didn't see any place to enable uploads How do I do that?
Yup - check out the instructions on getting the uploader working correctly:

2) Is there a way to include a picture/clipart in an email that is not trapped by the email client security option that blocks images and external content in HTML emails?
What I usually suggest is to just author the message in the, "Send a Webpage" screen If you have FCKeditor running, it'll run there, as well You can then use its file uploader to upload you images and it'll place them in the message
In that screen, there's an option to just write out the HTML, as well as to embed images straight into the message
I've attached a screenshot (I circled the options I'm talking about) - the way Dada Mail will add the images, is similar to how this attachment should probably be inline So, if this works, my idea should work too -
I have a little better luck with embedding images in messages, than calling them with just a URL to an outside resource,
