It gives me the impression that all your personal information will be lost, except for the subscribed email addresses But as far as I can see the only thing that really happens is removing your registration, nothing more When I register again, all my personal info (subscriber fields) is back into place
Yeah, that's basically all it does I guess it's because those fields, your profile and your subscriptions are all separate An Profile basically ties in the fields, with the subscriptions together, so that they person who owns the profile can work with them There's relatively little you can do in the profiles right now, perhaps it'll make more sense, when you can do more
So, to be honest, this functionality is not quite clear to me, and doesn't sound familiar when I compare it to other registrations on the web Can you please explain a bit more about the purpose of "Delete This Profile" functionality?
Probably right now, it does exactly what you're experiencing
Besides, the link "Unsubscribe from this list" does immediately remove me from the list without any warning
Actually, what it does, is follow exactly what your lists are set up to do, when you fill out the unsubscription form That link is just a shortcut, so, if you don't require confirmation, you won't get any I did this, just so I didn't recreate another unsubscription process, just for Profiles I think I'd be all form a alert menu, or something like that - I think that's a great idea
Unless it would be possible to subscribe to one of the available lists again right away, but these lists are not shown on the profile page, not even a link to the subscribe form (unless you click on the logo/title but this is not so obvious) So maybe adding a "+/- Add List Subscription" to the Profile Home screen is the way to go?
I like that idea too, just hasn't been implemented, I guess
