Hey everyone,
I've taken my first stab at attempting to make template tags NOT be parsed in discussion messages
Something like showing the list subscribe link:
[list_subscribe_link]
Should just stay as you've written it Fancier tags should also lose their magic
<!-- tmpl_var list_settings
list_name -->
You'll notice that the tags in the footer for the unsubscription link (etc) still stay magical
It's not perfect (as I'm not the best with regex's), but it hopefully should help us with talking about our problems with things that deal with tags in Dada Mail
The way it actually works is, template tags are looked at, before their parsed by the template engine and specific parts of the tags are actually, templated out, themselves! So, for example, the tag:
<!-- tmpl_var PROGRAM_URL -->
Will be parsed into:
<!-- tmpl_var LT_CHAR -->-- tmpl_var PROGRAM_URL -->>
tag gets turned into this character: <
tag gets turned into this character: >
Essentially, it breaks the template tags Kind of a neat idea
I'll be committing these changes into git, soon,
